  • Its just a way to setup the daemons to start every time you boot, I don't think there is really a maintenance of sorts is just replacing systemctl with sv.

    Edit: Works well, I don't think you should worry about it, probably there is a deeper explanation on the void linux docs

  • Adding to the existing comments, there is also invidious which doesn't bombard you with adds and if you have a homeserver you can easily host an instance (acts like a frontend to youtube)

  • If you are on Linux you could simply run a firejailed wine on the executable and not worry about much, if the firejailling stops something from working then the executable is kinda fishy since firajailed games should work (I tried it and it works)
