I was thinking that with all the "no one will notice, we don't have to report that" oil well blowouts, we should include Key West and make it the Gulf of M.U.C.K.
Ali Express = Straight from the Chinese factory town to to you. There are various things to watch out for. Like with electronics components the shops sell the stuff that didn't pass quality assurance testing for whomever ordered a manufacturing run, and now the factory is selling the rejects via AE shops.
EBay = Anyone can do eCommerce but reputation carries enough weight that at least things usually aren't scams. A lot of it (like many amazon sellers in the US) are just middlemen for AliExpress, Temu, or similar but hopefully they get sniffed out eventually. It's like it's not the wild west any more because the railroad came through, but the laws between sheriffs are still real different.

The most recent version in the kiwix ui is from Jan of 24. Wikimedia's various download mirrors look like they offer stuff from largely from April or May.
I find the grouping and ordering somehow soothing, except that years of programming have taught me that number sets should be zero-indexed. Get that 0 to the top left please.
My wife signed up for a live TV service over the holidays to watch Christmas movies and it was the first time I had seen a TV ad since ~2020. Holy crap were they awful. Not only did they put me off all the products but TV as a medium.
Though I'm realizing it wasn't negative enough for me to remember any of the products advertised, so I guess they won in a way.
Oh yeah. And seats for the table (which turns into a bed or course) are the speaker boxes. You want it to sound like John Denver is holding a concert right there in the van... until the 8-track goes CACHUNK to change tracks.
My HP48GX purchased in 1995 is still going strong and I see no reason it won't last another 30 years (unlike my body).
RPN FTW!
