I guess you can argue that the initial political discussions kick off the resources that get actual solutions created down the line. It’s just sad to me that people get all riled up about crazy situations like the central Texas floods and when the actual analysis of the situation comes in later hardly anyone cares to read the reports or even give a shit about the proposed solutions.
This was the late 2000s but knew a person actively working on long range ballistic missile interception. Asked, “how does it work? Is it like a shotgun or explosion where you explode when closing in on the other missile?”
