When I think of somebody as a parent I tend to subconsciously assign them the traits of a loving, caring and well-meaning adult even if their actions are less than perfect. But in reality, any psychopath with functional sex organs can be a parent.
He also failed to step down when faced with compelling evidence that he would lose to Trump. If we had an honest primary, I don't think we'd be in this mess. Instead, he held on to power up until the last minute and the Democratic constituency yet again got a candidate they didn't want.
The thing that surprised me most after moving to Oregon was how bad the drivers were. I've lived in many states across the South, the Midwest, and West Coast and I've never encountered drivers so consistently vindictive, entitled and reckless as the drivers in Oregon.
I stopped using Spotify long ago because of their shitty business practices. Producing a product they killed support for within just a couple years without reimbursing customers and producing huge amounts of e-waste. Jacking their subscription prices twice in one year. Apparently, they also donated to Trump despite not being an American company?? That's to say nothing of their shitty recommendation algorithm, which just plays your most played tracks over and over. Good riddance.
For those interested, I use Tidal now. I'm satisfied with, their recommendation algo is fine and the higher quality streaming is really nice but nothing I've used has ever been as good as Google Play Music, I found so much good music though that service and could upload whatever I was missing. Once Tidal inevitably pisses me off, I'm going to move on to self hosting.
For the people in the comments who either won't or seemingly can't read the article: The paint on the top of the caps is plastic-based and before they're put on the bottle they're stored in a big jumbled up pile where the paint chips off and coats the caps in tiny flakes. When the cap gets put on the bottle, the flakes on the bottom of the cap get washed off into your drink. Studies show that washing the caps first dramatically reduces the micro-plastic contamination.
They aren't powerless though. The Republicans only have a slim majority. It would currently take only 4 Republicans in either chamber to kill any legislation (so long as no Dems also flipped).
It never seems to be a problem for Republicans to get in the way of legislation when they're in the minority.
They're mad that they're identifying with the genocidal, colonizing villains of the story?
