Well damn! No wonder you guys are so patriotic! I think I might be a bit jealous of your freedom and your news industry.
(Wish I could help đ I'm just up here in this other little North American country. The really cold one. Just wishing someone saves you from yourselves before that stink moves too far up and gets embedded in the carpet. Unfortunately we've been getting more and more whiffs of it in the past couple years. We may need help too.)
Itâs because it used radio frequency. Yes through a cable. The cable was basically just an antenna. The RF box in the back of your console or whatever would send the RF signal at a specific frequency, usually channel 3 but some had switches that you could change to channel 2 or 4.
Itâs basically like tuning in to a radio station.
Edit: That's also why you'd get static when running a microwave, vacuum or whatever. The TV would pickup the noise generated by those machine.
Edit 2: As another user has mentioned, the option to switch the channel existed in case one channel had interference issues.

Yuuup good times. Going places you could only access by car if you crossed a frozen lake or river. Some of my fondest memories as a child. I would never in a million years attempt this today.
That's what I thought originally but then you look at those other logos and you start seeing some other ones that don't look as shopped lol. Rocket League? Grindr? Bandcamp? Damn even Daft Punk... đ
Basically non-existant but of course when it does happen it gets repeated over and over again. The main reason why anybody detransitions is because of how they get treated during their transition.
Nice! You could try hitting it with varnish or stain! Makes the wood look much more convincing.
Edit:
Here's an example of what it can look like
Edit 2 hahah: Just saw someone else had mentioned it and that you've already experimented with it in your original post in 3DPrinting
