  • Well for one, many people have problems calling this a genocide yet, me for one. I've had an entire branch of my family wiped out by the Holocaust, 90% of Belarussian Jews were exterminated, that's literally almost everyone. The Germans purposely went door to door killing as many people as possible.

Meanwhile the highest estimate for civilian deaths in Gaza in 30k, or almost 1.5%. There's a massive massive massive difference between these two. Israel isn't going door to door trying to kill as many Palestinians as possible or indiscriminately bombing refugee camps for the fun of it, they just don't care if they kill 10 civilians for one Hamas member.

And on the other hand, literally every other candidate would do worse than Biden in Gaza, Every. Single. One.

He's not just the lesser of two evils, he's literally the only option.

  • Well when I've been a member of a socialist party for almost ten years now and worked on several socialist's campaigns yeah it kinda does.

When you call everyone liberals it makes it super obvious yall think you're the only form of leftists meanwhile a lot of the people yall are calling "libs" have put far more effort towards revolutionizing society than you could ever dream of.

  • Every 10 days a few blocks wouldn’t match the expected construction rate, and there’s no reasoning why they think it was for the Great Pyramid

Unless there were other crews, like there almost always is in any construction. The journal also specifically names the pyramid, it'd be odd for the stone they're moving to go to the site of the Pyramid of Khufu, mention the name of the pyramid of Khufu, and then not be used for the pyramid of Khufu.

  • Holy shit dude, what's yalls obsession with calling everyone who disagrees with you a liberal.

  • No, this very well could be a genocide, and the Biden admin needs to work to stop it as soon as possible, in a way that creates a lasting peace.

That doesn't answer the question of who you think is possibly better for palestine and could win.

  • Trumpers/Republican that don't support genocide Joe, but there's literally millions of us.

Disregarding the stupid "gEnOciDe jOe" comment, do you have a source for millions of people willing to switch from voting for Joe Biden in 2020 to not voting for him in 2024?

There's literally no candidates with a better track record on this than Biden, and any candidates that could have a better Palestine policy aren't going to win.

  • Bullshit.

Biden has never once called communists vermin, never once called for them to be expelled from our society, Biden has worked repeatedly with socialist politicians here and abroad.

There's a monumental difference between Trump and Biden, but I guess if you refuse to engage in basic political analysis and see the difference between Liberalism and Fascism you can just sit on your island over there remaining eternally politically ineffective.

  • Sealioning for genocide. Neat.

Assuming bad faith again as I tried to reach out to hear your position in the most honest way possible.

Destroying the infrastructure of Gaza so that the wounded cannot get treatment. Targeting civilians. Targeting aid trucks. Preventing aid from getting in, essentially manufacturing a famine.

I agree all of these are awful atrocities that warrant treating Netanyahu the exact same as we treat Putin. I'm not justifying what Israel or Russia are doing at all, I'm simply saying that no one calls what Russia is doing (the exact same things that Israel is doing) a genocide except ukrainian nationalists.

I just don't understand why it's genocide when Israel does it, but not when any other country does these things.

  • Can confirm, bears can definitely adapt to being around humans and be used to their presence. Lived in a tourist town that had a massive amount of black bears and I've literally been close enough to pet one after going around a corner, we startled eachother for sure, sat and stared for a second, and then calmly backed away and went our merry way. I don't think I've ever heard of a bear attack there, and it's literally where the story of cocaine bear came from and is filled with incredibly dumb tourists.

  • Can you please point to me what makes you think it's explicitly genocidal and not just your run of the mill war crimes like happened in Chechnya, Syria, and now Ukraine?

This is genuinely my only problem calling it a genocide, the label doesn't exactly change much for me, I want Biden to do way more to end it, but I don't think he can change 70 years of Israeli government attitude towards Palestinians in a year.

  • First Biden, now me, what's your deal with not believing people when they say things?

Not everyone is arguing in bad faith.

  • For a leftist, neither candidate changes that reality. It will simply be more comfortable under one than the other.

I mean, I'm perfectly aware Biden isn't going to institute an American Meidner plan or start nationalizing key infrastructure and industries tomorrow and would probably vehemently oppose anyone trying to do so.

But if all I have to do is show up one day this year, and try and get my friends to do the same, just to not be possibly persecuted for any LGBT or socialist affiliations, that feels like not that big of a hassle for the gain of atleast keeping the status quo.

Every other volunteering and organizing day of the year is still going to be towards something not directly related to electoral politics.

  • especially because he has human hands

Can like 5% of the military budget please be devoted to giving Biden cool cyborg hands that like shoot lasers or something?

  • That's not the point: voting is unrelated to the work of uprooting fascism.

I mean that's partially true, but If the praxis for destroying American fascism is going to be so much harder under the rule of the fascist rather than the rule of the liberal, then shouldn't making sure the liberal stays be a prerequisite to the other praxis?

If you spend all your energy getting Biden elected, you are still no closer to solving the problem.

I certainly don't think it's the only thing leftists should be focusing on. We need more organization around lots of things other than electoral politics (Union's, Economic Rights, Building Up Socialist Orgs, etc), but I don't see us making real gains federally with any of these other spheres of organizing with Trump in power.

  • Depressing but not surprising, Putins favorite little sycophant in Chechnya, Kadyrov, has been saying, "There's no gay people in Chechnya" like "There's no war in Ba Sing Se" while simultaneously throwing thousands of LGBT people into camps for a decade now.

  • The hard work of resisting fascism happens everywhere but the ballot box.

You realize that doing all of that hard work would be much harder under Trump than Biden right?

Even if you're the most communist person ever, it makes sense to vote for Biden, he atleast tolerates your existence, and that'll make all praxis easier than under Mr. "Root out the communist vermin" Trump

  • You can't just say "you're a genocide denier!!!!" When the world hasn't even agreed if a genocide is happening.
