  • Now we have one port but that one port has loads of different speeds depending on the type. Plus USB3 naming convention is a total mess.

    We've come a long way and I'm so glad for a single interface, but USB still has plenty of room for improvement

  • Your understanding of Linux is about 10 years out of date my friend. Linux has made massive strides in ease of install and use in recent years.

    If you're not playing games - and the people buying these machines probably aren't - then you'll have as stable and easy an experience with Linux as you would with Windows

  • If an industry can't survive without resorting to copyright theft then maybe it's not a viable business.

    Imagine the business that could exist if only they didn't have to pay copyright holders. What makes the AI industry any different or more special?

  • I'm going to Linux because I have an older i5 (I think 5th or 7th gen?) which isn't compatible.

    I only really kept Windows for gaming but Valve has put a lot of effort into making Linux gaming more accessible and I'm willing to try it out now

  • There just doesn't seem to be a market for 5G Ethernet modems domestically. Everybody seems to be gravitating towards 5G routers and "Hubs" in the residential space.

    If your router supports it, you'll have better luck with a USB dongle over an Ethernet modem.
