Reddit's garbage app just keeps getting worse

  • Instead of using Gmaps. You can try

    1. Organic Maps (Simple and clean app that just works)
    2. OsmAnd (Full of great features but it may be too much for you). Supports realtime map update in pro version or the fdroid version.
    3. Magic Earth but i think it is not foss
    4. Mapy.cz uses Openstreetmap but it also does not seem to be foss. But the map is updated in real time.

  • I use Debian 12. I very recently switched to it from windows after using windows for about 10 years or more.

    What do I like about Debian when compared to Windows?

    I really enjoy using the terminal. Still a beginner. Yes learning the commands is tough but sometimes I just prefer using the terminal instead of using a gui.

    Everything else about debian is also great.

  • Same here. Sync is a great app. It has a lot of great features.

    But jerboa is the first lemmy app i used. I feel home when using jerboa even though it is still in development.

  • I have no clue what is causing the problem. But can you try the below steps?

    I would suggest you to create a new profile by going to about:profiles and opening youtube.

    Or you can maybe try to refresh the firefox installtion.

  • I agree with you. Matrix and xmpp already work pretty well. There isn't really need for another messaging app. There are many other messaging apps as well.
