  • What OS would be helpful. I assume you mean Windows.

If running Home, that's half the problem. It's got more crap than Pro, and lacks support for Group Policy. If you can run Pro, it's a big help.

WinDebloat on Github works very well.

Even better is to use the LTSC (Long-term Service Channel) versions of Windows. These already have almost no bloat, and won't break stuff from updates, because they only get security updates twice a year. No monthly feature updates.

The LTSC link above also has activation scripts, provided by microsoft.

  • Yet another argument for root. Then you can exclude the VPN app from OOM. Or even move it into /system.

I understand why this isn't done (moving such apps to system), since mobile uses immutable OS concept. But we still need a way to manage such apps appropriately.

  • Yep.

Caterpillar made/makes flywheel UPS systems, where the flywheel is in a vacuum and uses magnetic or air bearings.

It's much safer having 300 flywheel UPS racks than having 300 battery based systems. Also lifespan is much greater.

  • Wow, nice assumption.

    Also, define "white".

Are southern Italians "white"? Greeks? Bulgarians (who can range from Irish white to Indian brown)?

How about Roma? Do you even know who Roma are? You probably (insultingly) call them Gypsy. These are people who have been shat upon by virtually every society in existence over the last 10,000 years, and they too can range from Irish to Indian (since they originate from what is now northern India). Are they white?

  • I've been using Syncthing-Fork for years. It's better all around because it moves sync conditions to within each sync folder.

So my photos sync immediately (over any network or battery status), but my app config export folder (say my podcast app) only syncs on power and wifi.
