Having been an Apple, Google, and Samsung certified technician who performs repairs down to board level, Google phones fucking suck. They have no fucking idea what they’re doing and it results in horribly assembled phones, esoteric internal design, fragile components, and complicated repairs. A screen repair on a Pixel 5 took almost 40 unique components. That’s literally more than 10x what any other brand needs. They take ten times as long as an iPhone for the same repair, and probably 5x as long as a Samsung. There are worse phones out there, but not flagship phones. Google is by far the worst flagship manufacturer once you actually get past the sleek exterior. Dozens of crisscrossed flex cables, many of which are heavily adhered down or intended to be replaced regardless of if they’re in perfect shape. Single use grommets, ridiculously over complicated jigs and templates… they’re just… bad.

It doesn’t imply that, no. The ONLY people claiming that it implies the other side doesn’t exist are bad-faith actors, and people ignorant of the fact that they got their info from bad faith actors, period. No one on the Palestinian side is saying they want to eradicate the other side, only individuals on the Israeli side have said so thus far, and they say it regularly.

Ones that don’t just run on Google software anyway and still support modern applications? I loved my Windows Phone, but man was it frustrating not having really any third party apps.

I have a 2 button rise kit. Honestly, I hate it. The edge is significantly better to use. Tbh though, other than the DualSense exclusive features, I most prefer the series x controller with extreme rates 4 button back setup.

That’s such a gross misunderstanding of the separation between TikTok and China that it’s very possible purposeful misinformation.

China has no control whatsoever over TikTok, and in fact, there are US intelligence officers on the board for the American company. If anyone is “intentionally serving up braindead content…” it’s the US company, who is under strict control and observation by US intelligence agencies.

Birds live really, really, really long lives, and require more emotional support than any animal I know of. Unless you have children who are okay with you willing the bird to them, and can at least spend a full time job worth of time with the bird every week, don’t get one. I mean, seriously, if the bird doesn’t live on your shoulder during your every waking hour, you are emotionally abusing and traumatizing that bird. They’re far more intelligent and social beings than most people give them credit for. They should not live in cages.

Toucans, or at least the kind we had, have serrated beaks, so in addition to the clamping force, they can tear your flesh while they’re at it.

I do believe they have less bite force than most macaws, but they’re also less docile than most macaws also. Macaws rarely use anywhere near their full power when biting things or people.

Bro toucans are fucking scary. We used to run a parrot rescue. I have plenty of scars from Macaws or Cockatoos, but the one time we had a Toucan, holy fucking shit dude. Those beaks are fucking pincers. I didn’t even get close to it after seeing the things it could snap like twigs.

It’s so good! Did you pick up the physical copy? It has some things not available in the digital copy. I haven’t 100% the game yet but I’ve done quite a few playthroughs.

Somehow I don’t think modern Russian penal colonies are much like the gulag. Do workers make full wages for their work? Are they allowed to have their families live with them or earn 2 week trips out of the colony? Do they allow them to wear their civilian clothes? Can they send their money back to their families on the outside? Is 40% of the population turned over every year? I imagine they were referring to the mythological “gulag”, and not the real historical one we have actual physical evidence of, because that’s typically how it goes.

Nothing like Zelda, but “The Machine” is my favorite modern game boy game.
