  • What people care about is not always what they vote for, and what people say they care about is another thing entirely.

I’ll leave you with this: I want to be proved wrong and champagne is on me if I am. I just don’t believe in Americans enough to believe that we as a whole are going to effect real change.

I’m going to stop trying, though.

  • There are a whole lot of assumptions in this comment. I don’t want a less progressive candidate than AOC. I want a more progressive candidate, but I want one who is going to win. A woman, POC, New Yorker isn’t it, as much as I wish it was.

I also don’t agree that society is more progressive since Obama’s presidency. More tolerant of certain things, sure. But more likely to vote for progressive economic policies? I don’t think so.

As the boomers and older Gen X start to die off, things will slide left. But AOC 2028? Give me a break.

  • I totally agree and that was a dumb and exaggerated example. My point was only that if it really is the same person, it is too subtle of a change between jackets, where a cop on high alert would take an interest. Why not change into a completely different style of nondescript coat in a completely different color like black?

  • But why would you change into an extremely similar looking jacket and backpack and continue to walk around with the same face covering? Why would you not change into a yellow puffer jacket and put a Knicks beanie on and get rid of the damn backpack entirely?

  • Vasoconstriction is not the cause of the unpleasant body load from LSA or at least not the primary cause. Not to mention that there is no reason a “cold water extraction” would have any effect on the vasoconstrictive substance’s level of vasoconstriction. I also said in my previous comment it would have minimal impact on the nausea. Many psychedelics naturally produce nausea; NBOMes, mescaline, and 2C drugs to name a few.

Anyone taking LSA should do a CWE, it’s the only way that make sense. But the point of doing so is ease of dosing and removal of the nasty seed hull and plant oils that add all sorts of nausea to the already physically trying experience.

Saying doing a CWE of LSA is very similar is not accurate for all the reasons listed before, which is the only reason I jumped in. OP would be much better off searching for a legal/gray-market alternative like a LSD prodrug, other lysergamides like AL-LAD/ETH-LAD, trying other tryptamines like metocin or acetylpsilocin to see if he can avoid the undesirable effects he experiences from shrooms, or trying mescaline analogues if tryptamines just aren’t for him.

But if someone was to want to try LSA, buying HBWR is a vastly superior option to morning glory as a dose would be something like 3-8 seeds versus the hundreds you would need for morning glory. I can’t imagine it is easy to find hundreds of morning glory seeds at all, except covered in pesticide in the garden section of Walmart, while you can easily order HBWR online. Not to mention there is way less plant material to start with, making the entire process easier.

  • Store bought seeds probably have nasty pesticides all over them so I would not recommend this. Not to mention it takes a ton of morning glory seeds. If you really want to try this, I would recommend ordering some Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds.

That said…the mental and visual effects are very different from LSD, LSA has a MASSIVE body load that most people find extremely unpleasant, and the experience is many times coupled with hours of extreme nausea.

Depending on your country you may be able to legally or semi-legally be able to buy an LSD pro-drug (chemical that breaks down into LSD so is essentially the same thing) such as 1P-LSD or 1D-LSD.

  • The original AC games were really great for their time, and to be honest I enjoyed the ones that came after the trilogy despite feeling like the same game with a new coat of paint over and over.

But they really knocked it out of the park when they overhauled all the controls and mechanics with Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Yes, there are issues with them like with every open world game, but it is really worth checking out. Valhalla is obviously beautiful and very refined but I favor Odyssey for the sheer fun factor.

Agreed on these new ones, though.

  • The second point was an aside, but the first point was the likely answer to your question. You were talking about the NYT doing a good job reporting on Trump but the person you responded to was almost certainly talking about their less honest, more propagandized reporting. I was offering the example of this that is at the forefront of everyone’s minds at the moment.

Not bickering, by the way, just clarifying.

  • I can’t say for certain what they mean, but while their Trump coverage is solid, many people take issue with the way they are covering the Israel-Palestine conflict.

On another note, while I believe the John Kelly interview should be damning, if you believe it will make any difference you are living in a fantasy world.

  • That is literally what everyone else is saying. You are arguing with no one.

The problem IS shitty filmmaking. The specific examples of shitty filmmaking being discussed are pointless violence and pointless sex scenes that don’t contribute to the movie in any way.
