Your siblings and cousins suck. Don’t listen to them.
I’ve been in your position, and had people, at certain points in my life, who changed my life without really doing anything, or realizing it.
We all take bits and pieces of who, and what we interact with in the world. Those bits may be amazingly beautiful, or they may be world shattering. Your bio parents probably were more of the latter, but your ex’s mom might have been someone that set your life in a completely different, and better path, with a word, or a hug, or a shoulder.
I can only speak for myself, but having someone show an ounce of compassion, or empathy can be everything to someone who grew up with a shitty family (whatever that looks like).
I THOUGHT loved people who were abusing me, until I saw what REAL love is. I thought I KNEW what love is. I THOUGHT love was, what I now know to be abuse.
It’s absolutely a valid question to ask, and your reply is literally gaslighting.
If you have no frame of reference for a healthy relationship, how do you KNOW it’s good, without asking?
As someone with migraines i feel for the people that have these symptoms. There is a lot of symptom cross over between long Covid and migraine.
At the same time, I find it really hard to feel sympathy for people, who didn’t take precautions to protect themselves, from something we still know so little about. If I could have made a choice to avoid “catching something” that causes migraines, I would have done everything in my power to not take the risk.
Edit: bolded the important part, that people seemed to ignore.
I was already learning Spanish, but not having Reddit has upped how much time I’m spending learning. So yay I suppose. Plus, less doom scrolling is probably healthier.
Fair. I’m in total agreement. I was mostly pointing out had they convicted him he wouldn’t even be eligible to run. They fucked themselves in the long term, and everyone else in the process.
That’s not how that works. lol. Am runner. Can confirm. It may take a bit after I run to want food but I promise I want LOTS of food. The longer I do it, the more I want healthy, nutritious, whole foods, as opposed to processed shit too. I feel better when I eat healthy, I run faster, I can workout longer, I don’t get tired as easily. I KNOW when I haven’t been eating right, or especially enough, because my body tells me.
The reason diets don’t last is because people view them as something temporary to get through, instead of the life changes that are needed. It’s hard (I lost about 50lb in 2016c and have kept it off since). It’s a huge commitment to stay healthy. Especially in USA. I get it. Not everyone want to commit to it. But none of that changes reality. The only way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you expend.
It’s all irrelevant. Calories in, calories out is all the matters for weight loss. Exercise isn’t needed to lose weight. Changing eating habits is 100% the only solution.
Exercise can help you build muscle mass, which can help with weight loss/keeping weight off, but if you’re eating more calories than your body needs you’ll gain weight. It’s also seemingly why people have this misconception about metabolism slowing down around 30. Most people (from the US at least) become significantly more sedentary when they leave college, get settled and start a family (coincidentally late 20s to early 30s) which results in loss of muscle mass. The way they used to eat isn’t sustainable and they gain fat.
Why, for inexplicable reason it doesn’t bar him from being president. Hell, I don’t think an inevitable conviction would do it either. He’s raking in the money, why would he stop?
Iirc their diets are highly specialized too. It’s not what everyone thinks. You can just give them lettuce and the occasional fruit.
I’d say most animals mask their illness/injuries well, unfortunately. Pet owners really need to know their pet well and see the very subtle changes most of the time.
Cats and dogs are surprisingly some of the least labor intensive pets. Things like rabbits, reptiles, birds, etc are all effectively exotic pets. Not all veterinaries can or will treat them. They have highly specialized diets, and social structures. They tend to have pens or cages that need regular deep cleaning. So on and so forth.
There’s also a personal preference at play. Personally, I’m a cat person. Dogs are adorable, when they are someone else’s.
Obviously, if you’re allergic to dogs/cats, that probably rules them out (I’m allergic to cats and have 2 but my allergy is relatively mild).
Based on the 4 sentences you provided a fish might be your best bet.
Works great with iPhone. It gets a little angsty when you have the Apple keychain or whatever it’s called activated sometimes. Honestly it is just a matter of selecting which to use, but the software gets a little confused sometimes.
If I had fuck you money, and Ben and Jerry didn’t insist on making their tasty shit like 1500 calories a pint, I’d totally keep them in business single handedly.
I can attest to this. We bank with one of the biggest ones. Before the application went live, on their website, the money was already gone. They had already had all the bakers call their big fish clients to make sure they got money, while actual small businesses missed out.
Not to mention giant corporations got in on the cash grab too via a loophole. The verbiage was something like xxx employee limit at a location. So companies like shake shack got tons of ppp money, because they counted each location as a separate business (iirc that how it worked. It’s been a while now)
There isn’t a lot of latitude in properly fixing a car. Cars go together in a certain way, and there are a lot of instances where you don’t have a choice in how much you have to remove to access what you need to.
Is the shop supposed to either not do the job correctly, and end up with a pissed off customer, and a pissed off manufacturer (possibly losing the approved shop status) or do it correctly and let people whine about the price, or eat the labor because YOU think it’s outlandish?
I’ve dealt with insurance enough to know that they buckle and dime literally every line item. If insurance paid it out, there wasn’t likely much choice.
Looks more like it’s just pisspoor design/forethought on Rivian parts.
Here is their post on the rivian forum. If the entire back of the truck had to come off for a bumper, and maybe a rear fender something is wrong with the design.

That’s where the term “chosen family” comes from.
