  • Can't really defend CF. They are known to fuck with customers, break their promises and are not good for privacy.

  • Yeah, as in it's time for more backdoors for the glowies.

  • If you don't like the "extra nonsense", how about you stop using Google products? Namely Chrome and Google?

  • I use them to tag people that are regularly active and have good behaviour. I also tag some important people, like the owners of instances, software, etc.

  • Matrix is not quite like Discord, but we have Revolt. Try that. It's a discord clone.

  • Facebook

    Jump
  • My mom posted something similar to this, about not giving consent to Facebook to sell her data while using Facebook for free. Seems like her friends did this and recommended it to her as well.

    Oh the irony.

  • That honeycomb is better fit tbh. Who cares about the meaning of the symbol? 99.99% people only look at the visual symbol itself.

  • Programming.

I first realized that I loved it at the age of 11. It's easy to get into but programming itself can be difficult or easy depending on what you are aiming to do and how. I love it both as a hobby and as a high school subject (hopefully as a job in the next few years as well)

  • Oh, please don't start using that symbol for the fediverse.

  • sayonara* 🤓

  • That's not really my problem with GOG. It's the fact that they seem to be ignoring Linux. If they are that unwilling to make a Linux client, then I also don't want to use their platform.

  • I actually think that too. People just think that providing their phone numbers makes them less private when privacy does not mean anonymity.

  • Instead, we have SimpleX, Matrix, XMPP, Briar and Signal. They're ultimately better than Telegram.

  • Use Tor with bridges, or orbot if you want to use apps.

  • I do like GOG. All of the games are free of DRM but they still don't have a fucking linux client. So I refuse to use them. At least Steam natively supports Linux and even improves the linux gaming experience for everyone.

  • You can't stop them. Publicly available data can and will be a training source for LLMs.

  • Most americans think they care about their privacy while entrusting their data to companies that supposedly "protect" their privacy.

    cough* Apple *cough

  • That's social anxiety btw.
