  • Lobsters are the cockroaches. Shrimp are more like, crickets maybe in the pecking order of the food chain and shell density. But basically all the shellfish with exoskeletons are super similar to bugs. Crabs are clearly basically spiders.

  • The half finished apartment complexes and ones that are collapsing already because they build them with bamboo instead of cement would indicate otherwise. Look up tofu-dreg projects/buildings for a good laugh. So much of the rapid construction done in the last 20-30 years in China is going to be in landfills far before it should be....

  • It's crazy how interlinked black market dealings and money laundering have been to the art world. I shudder to think the amount of artists careers that were made because a couple guys needs to pay each other millions of dollars for something worthless to easily make some clean money on illicit exchanges.

  • Don't ask the UK anything about their troubling history with black people or slavery unless it's to mention that they were one of the first countries to stop making black people property. They get really mad if you mention anything but that.

  • I remember the first time I really noticed online ordering. I had gone to Starbucks to get a couple coffees. While waiting in line, and then waiting for my order people continued to pour in and pick up drinks. There were drinks littered all over the pickup counter with no one there to get them. They were making these drinks that would sit there, ahead of the people waiting in the shop. I think that was the last time I ever went into a Starbucks like 7 years ago.

There's serious problems with the way online ordering/delivery services get implemented. Customers in the building should never lose priority to someone sitting on the couch at home.

  • As far as widely available (especially in BFE where it's this or a shitty gas station) it's decent coffee. I'd say it's better than Starbucks, mostly because Starbucks coffee is terrible. Almost no big chain gives you coffee worth the $5 of whatever they charge.
