It was a blatantly horrible call honestly.

Often times things are cheaper elsewhere these days. MSRP isn't really a good deal. The problem is Amazon has become the default and spends an enormous amount of money to make sure you are directed there.

Those games were some of the first games I really bit into as a kid. They were great. Just hard enough to be a real challenge for me when I was like 6ish.

The reddit sub with the same name initially made sense because he used to be popular there. So it was a counterpoint to all the positive posts about him. Now, yes it just doesn't make any sense. It's promoting posts about him while complaining about all the posts about him....

Anything can be sexualized with enough impulse and experiences. Everyone's got some weird dark fetish shit. Some of it's illegal in practice. Normal people bury that shit or only discuss it in therapy. While talking it out so they can hopefully never think about it again.

I was explaining this to my father the other day. He's considering moving and I did a little math for him on what the payment would be if he buys something at the same price point. Mortgage would go up over 50%.

It's honestly astonishing the markets been flat with the increased rates. People shouldn't, but they buy as much as they can possibly afford/can qualify for more often than not. With current rates the most people can afford is much more often becoming nothing.

Not to mention if we do this at enough scale it will raise the salinity of the ocean and, you know, kill everything.

Reviews are a bit of a shit show with everyone being used to Starbucks as the "standard" now. I still give the local places a shot when I travel. I find them rarely worse than Starbucks for a latte and quiet often better. Plus, you know not giving money to Starbucks and their horrible anti-union leadership...

Picked it up at the gym towards the end of 21 for the first time. After a night of mild drinking watching a game a few days later I woke up thinking I was somehow extremely hungover off 3-4 beers. It lasted too long, assumed it might be allergies too. Headache, lack of appetite/unsettled stomach, weak, sore throat and tired. Tested myself towards the end of the first day of sumtpoms, was positive. It lightening up after a couple days, didn't feel right for almost a week though.

I definitely had it again about a year ago. More like bad allergy symptoms. Headache, sore throat, felt a little "foggy". Tested positive and it passed mostly in 24-48 hours.

I have fairly bad winter cedar allergies that the symptoms of often line up with covid. I wouldn't doubt I've had it a few more times mildly in the last year or two. I go out in crowded public spaces like the gym a lot and haven't worn a mask in a long time. My impression of the more prevelant strains lately are what the Republicans wished the first waves were (the first time I likely had omecron, it sucked). A mild flu or a head cold. Just quarantine and if the symptoms last more than 24hrs try and get your hands on a test.

I don't know why they don't just put the coke back. It'd definitely sell better than any of their recent attempts.

The fact that no one seems to be taking a stand on enforcing monopoly or antitrust laws like we used to in America is a huge political issue for me. I'd vote for just about anyone who made going after/breaking up a ton of our biggest corporations a main platform point.

Yes, replace all the workers with AI. I'm sure if we just do that everywhere surely the wealthy folks will let us live in amazing ghettos. Totally a better idea than just having people pay appropriate taxes.

It's almost like we don't have enough funding and employees for the government to operate properly. Like maybe we should tax the rich at the rates we did 50 years ago and have a well run society.
