Honestly that channel has been the only reporting I've seen on it despite how important it is, and I wonder why Pres. Biden and Democrats in general aren't more vocal about the bill considering how widely popular it would be.

I don't want to ride a donkey down there, but also am car skeptical. Maybe high speed commuter rail in the canyon could be artfully and sensibly done for our weird superfuture. I bet there would be amazing archaeological and geological discoveries in the construction process! With the rail system in place it would be foolish not to build some kind of sustainable coworking space with integrated living quarters and it would be trivial to stock a bodega with wholesome, all-natural foods and beverages. Leather is a by-product of dairy and beef production, there is vastly more leather than we use for garments. Most of it gets processed into pet food or makeup or automotive lubricants or who knows what
