  • I remember a few years back Jackobox raised the prices of their tacos above $1. They dressed them up all fancy, used better ingredients, and every time I got some the employees were like "we decided to improve the quality and so they're more expensive now because they're higher quality". Few weeks later and they kept the price but reverted to their original recipe and presentation. Now that the $1 barrier is broken they keep steadily going up in price. Pro tip though if you ever need a thousand calories for cheap and have a wrought iron stomach get the tacos and ask them to put nacho cheese in it. They usually dgaf and sometimes it comes out more cheese than taco

  • Assuming it isn't a different piece I haven't heard of, it's called "Can't Help Myself" and it isn't squeegeeing it's own oil or hydraulic fluid back. It was shut down by the artists (though it would have stalled out on its own at some point it was definitely wearing down).

For anyone interested here is a vid talking about the unhinged artists and the robot piece:

  • That's the crisp part. A lot of modern games seem to be obsessed with making every single pixel pop out at you. Rummaging around outside is not like that it's softer. A real world comparison would be something like malls which are obsessed with making every inch of visible space distinctly pop. I also hate being in malls

  • Looks like they scrubbed swastikas out of the training set? I have mixed feelings about this. Like if they want something to have historical accuracy or my own personal opinions on censorship that shouldn't be scrubbed. But also this is the perfect tool to churn out endless amounts of pro nazi propaganda so maybe it's safer to keep it removed?

  • Yes but that only works if we can differentiate that data on a pretty big scale. The only way I can see it working at scale is by having meta data to declare if something is AI generated or not. But then we're relying on self reporting so a lot of people have to get on board with it and bad actors can poison the data anyway. Another way could be to hire humans to chatter about specific things you want to train it on which could guarantee better data but be quite expensive. Only training on data from before LLMs will turn it into an old people pretty quickly and it will be noticable when it doesn't know pop culture or modern slang.

  • My cats track litter everywhere and I keep my bike inside (the bike room in my apartment has a major theft issue). So not like I'm making the floor any dirtier by wearing shoes. I sweep once a week and mop usually every other week, more if needed like if a cat has a particularly pukey week. The floor is for dirty things I don't plan on eating off of it.
