  • Morrowind is the reason I'm in the game industry and has impacted my life more than any other single piece of media. It's been heartbreaking for me to see the treatment Elder Scrolls has gotten. I was so excited for Skyrim it was the only game I've ever preordered, it's the reason I originally got a Steam account, and the whole game is a let down start to finish.

I was hesitantly optimistic for FO4 when I bought it, it was off-putting but I worked through the disappointment of running into invisible walls so often, and when I finally got the gear and the freedom to power armor my way to the roofs I was pumped until I discovered they put fuck all up there. Morrowind was designed with jumping and flying and they made a 3D world that was fascinating to explore, Skyrim is completely flat, FO4 pretends to have 3D space but it's a contentless liar. I'm so jaded now I didn't even get to the hesitantly optimistic step with Starfield I just assumed it was going to be empty filler

  • Got here before me lol. Seriously though it's ridiculous. I basically feel like I have to pee 100% of the time and I'm just guessing if I actually have to go or not. Can't wait for surgery and not having to be on spiro anymore

  • Pg13 has gone off the rails since I was a kid. Like on-camera gun suicides with chunks, among other things. Meanwhile half the R films I watch don't even have blood anymore blood. Basically pg13 means high violence and R means the tiniest hint that something sexual could maybe happen off screen. I don't get it at all

  • The problem with this under capitalism is the working class won't see any benefit from robots taking mental jobs. The remaining jobs can rely on desperation instead of better pay to attract workers. If we were under a system that supported ubi, then yeah robots can take whatever job idgaf, I could find something that makes me happy. But that isn't how capitalism works

  • I don't believe that's entirely accurate. Like for enough people for it to be a problem yeah they're just cruel. I think it is more accurate though to say that power and control are the point. Some people are willing to do that by creating fear and offering 'solutions'. Imo he cruelty is a side effect of having to continually up the stakes

  • That's presumptuous. Some dishwashers are legit trash that wouldn't even hold water if not for 20 years of getting the landlord white paint treatment. Probably some of the sorta working ones when I was younger could have done better with proper detergent habits but I know how to use them now and still run into it

  • Depends. As far as I know only a few groups consider it to be literally body/blood and most are clear that they believe it to be symbolic. A lot of churches also just use grape juice now instead of wine so can't get them on drug use even if alcohol were considered a drug

  • At a certain point it stops being a dishwasher and works better as a drying rack. It's the sorta shitty dishwashers that bother me most where I can still save time by partially processing the dishes but somehow like 1/5 of them come out worse than how they went in.

  • My plan is to boldy say something snarky right before getting shot and hope someone films it so I can be turned into a meme before everything collapses. (In actuality my mental health is way too poor to keep a gun in easy access. Maybe a crossbow or something would be better for me, or I could get a proper medic bag and help that way)
