  • Didn't Kutcher kick Masterson off his show, "The Ranch", when he found out about the allegations?

I don't know what's going though any of their minds and I don't know much about the case, but writing letters for your former friend that's a piece of shit is common. 30 years is a very long time. Longer than Cosby got. So it couldn't be good. But I wonder what the details are before I immediately jump to "most of the cast are assholes by association". Also, did no one know about this during the show? Mila even had to stage kiss and hug the guy when their characters were dating.

  • It's in really good condition, and checking the shelf where it's been sitting for a decade, there no residual radiation. So I have to assume it won't flake off easily.

A perspex box might be a good idea, but for now it's sitting on a far away garage shelf with a label. I'd prefer to keep it even if it's an outdated method compared to my phone, as it was a gift from my grandfather as he had it from his deployment in WWII in the 45th infantry. But now we're all aware of what it might do, so we'll definitely limit exposure time if we do show it off. It's good to know that it's still a fairly small amount of danger, comparatively.

    Thank you!

  • Knowing the dosage is a day's exposure, and only if you expose yourself to if for an hour, makes me feel much safer about taking it camping once in the be 90s. In general, no one touched it for fear of breaking it.

We're keeping it in the garage on a shelf, next to a window from now on. With a label.

    Thank you!

  • It's a "family heirloom" as my grandfather had it in WWII for the 45th infantry. So I wouldn't want to dispose of it, but I can see my initial fears may be a bit overblown. I'm keeping it on a shelf in the garage, far away from normal foot traffic. That should be more than sufficient, it sounds.

I definitely used it while camping once, but thankfully no one's messed with it for decades as we wanted to preserve it. I checked the shelf and there's no residual radiation where it sits, so I think I'll just let it be. Everyone in the family is aware that it's the highest radioactive thing in the house, and that it's still fairly low.

    Thank you for your help!

  • You might zoom in on them more - they're all Art Deco style statues. No distinct detail. It looks like they were pulled out of the first BioShock game, or Batman: the animated series. Very minimal detail.

  • I found that lowering the difficulty was just required. The early game, you have a LOT stacked against you. When you level up, get more abilities, better gear - then you don't have to pull them behind a doorway or something.

It made sense that you were completely outgunned in the start, but as you progress, it's a little easier.

However, the emphasis on surfaces was bad. It was way too easy to make necrotic fire that was 2 turns to dispel a small portion of. And in the beginning, it's very hard to get rid of it. Late game, you can turn it into a healing fire.

But other than those gripes, it was a fantastic game. Well with the time invested to learn it. Just, lower the difficulty.

  • Hah, I bet I know exactly what happened. I did the same thing years ago. There's an import script you can run that'll move your domains and subdomains, which saves you a ton of time. But it often misreads your input, and puts a leading "." In front of everything.

I bet someone wanted to save time, and it happened to them. Then it's a game of catch-up to remove the leading period before the next TTL update.

This is exactly what happens when you're understaffed and overworked, and you have someone who isn't experienced in the process enough try to handle a big task.

    Rookie mistake, Elon!

  • Why does everything have fentanyl in it? Is it cheaper? Is it a planned thing to get more people to OD? I would think they'd cut it with someone cheap like flour. Unless it's a cost effective way to get you high. If that's the case, I would think there would be more demand for pure fentanyl?

I don't understand what would cause these results.

  • This graphic indicates not eating meat saves 0.82 tonnes of CO2. Going car free is 2.4. So yet again, it seems like the vegetarian option is another "fix our problems so we don't have to".

I often eat vegetarian meals, but it's not easy or cost efficient. I have gone car free and my 2012 Mustang GT has sat in the garage for a year now. I have one child, not 3. I'll stop meat entirely when I see larger polluters do their part. I can't save the world alone.

  • And even worse, insecure. Google Adsense used to allow ads from unvetted advertisers, who someone allowed malicious scripts to run. That's when I got much more stern with blockers.

I don't know if they still do it, but I'm not going to expose myself to find out. And it could happen again in the future, even if they did fix it for now.

  • I've just heard about librewolf in this developing thread, but I've no idea what sets it apart from Firefox. What does it do that Firefox doesn't?

Edit: your link says it focuses on the same thing Firefox does, to my knowledge, so I'm wondering if there's something Firefox neglects? Or is it just to keep the field diverse? Which is also good.

  • Sounds like a lot of devs throwing shade at a great game. I can't excuse AAA games for not putting out effort. CoD2k24, Assassin's Creed Season Pass, or whatever crap they're churning out that rides the coattails of games now over a decade old, doesn't cut it.

Everything is more expensive now, and if you can't make a better game, that's on you. You don't automatically get my money. I won't lower my expectations just because you have shareholders.

  • They do, but Google reduced their utility. Ads from YouTube get through my uBlock Origin, and I see ads in my search results. This was a fairly recent development, as maybe a year ago I didn't see any ads at all on Chrome. The day I got ads punched through my blockers, is the day I quit being lazy and migrated back to Firefox.

Google has no incentive to block ads when that's part of their revenue stream, so they nerfed third party extension's ability to actually work at intended.
