That’s interesting… I’m curious now….

They may have misinterpreted it, but now I wanna know what it REALLY is.

It’s worse than that, in Google’s current antitrust suit, the government showed that Google stopped searching for your exact text…. Instead they replace your text with the most profitable text that’s close to what you’re searching for. So you can’t actually get better results by refining your query anymore.

Meaning that Google is defrauding their users (making it look like they searched for something they didn’t give you the results for) and they defrauded AdWords clients because I paid for an ad when someone searches for X but Google manipulated a search for Y into X so that I’d have to pay more even though the user didn’t actually use my keyword.

Aaaaand we wonder why Google sucks now.

….. always the same reason that a company turns hostile to their clients….. “I’m big enough I don’t care, and I want more money, fuck you”

Ideally it passes by shielded. Or better yet, shield both.

That does wreck your isolation

Host networking would allow the VM to act as if it was another machine on your network and not a machine inside a host. Your physical network card would end up with 2IP addresses

If you want isolation, I would actually go more complex than this and I would give Home Assistant two separate virtual network cards, one which is on the IOT network and one that is not.  you will have to set up priority for them so that it understands which one it should use to go out to the Internet. I’m not actually sure how well Home Assistant handles two network cards, i’d have to look up the info, but it should be able to

The easiest way is to expand the netmask on your router so that it can see both. 255.255.250.0

That’s obvious to you and I, but we need it to be obvious to those who aren’t paying that much attention, or worse are assuming that the court was a lie and this is the truth.

The justice system needs to take a heavy hand here to people that are being prosecuted for pushing these false claims. If they plead out, then they need to either acknowledge that publicly or shut up publicly.

And before anyone starts claiming “free speech”, we’ve already crossed that line, it was her words and actions that got her here. Continuing them in defiance of her plea deal should nullify the plea deal. Seems fairly straight forward.

Okay but Powell made a deal and then publicly stated that she made the deal because she had to and it was a lie.

Like she went out and publicly stated the same lie that got her into this mess.

So unless the justice department takes her public statements seriously, then it’ll be meaningless.

A web app that does what?

Are you running your own Netflix-ish server? Transaction processing? Cloud storage? Ai chatbot?

Each one has very different requirements, and this is just the first four that came to mind .

AWS has hundreds of buildings filled with millions of servers, so you aren’t going to compete with that, even on a small scale.

But could you run your own little Facebook type thing? For a handful of users, sure. Could you handle the number of users that Facebook actually has in a day? You are looking at buildings filled with Computers, not a single machine’s spec

Netflix is for less beholden to the ccp than Apple or Amazon
