  • Sure, but I'd rather have it relocated to a landfill where it'll be kept out of the water supply and will eventually get covered with dirt and turned into a park or forest preserve.

Landfills aren't just a hole in the ground people throw shit into. They're complex, managed systems that efficiently store garbage and keep it sequestered while it breaks down over long periods of time.

  • No, fuck that! We spent twenty years nation building there and the first time they needed to stand up on their own the ANA folded up and ran.

They weren't willing to do the bare minimum to avoid Taliban rule. It's not our fault they were too stupid to see the consequences when they rolled over and let the fucking cavemen take over.

  • Standing at attention is supposed to keep you a little off balance - not that much, but a little. Some people lock their knees when they stand, which will ultimately make you faint. Standing "gut in, chest out" makes you to lean forward slightly, forcing your knees unlock.

Because these guys are ceremonial guards they crank the whole thing up to eleven and it tends to look ridiculous at times.

  • The position of attention is usually heels together, gut in, chest out, etc.

The raised chin is kind of old fashioned and only used for ceremonial purposes by some countries. Russia is one of those countries.

That being said, dude on the left looks like he put a little meth in his cereal that morning.

  • It's technically possible to do that after committing any crime, but under super specific circumstances and it's a far cry from a "get out of jail free" card.

If you're legitimately, actually insane when you commit a crime you'll get sent to a mental hospital instead of prison. The catch is that the hospital will only release you if you're mentally healthy. That can mean that a person who uses the insanity plea may spend more time in the hospital than they would have in prison.
