  • I believe you are thinking in terms of a Turing-machine-like computer. I don’t think it’s possible today to “suspend” the bits in a quantum computer. I also don’t think it’s possible to know if the simulation could be paused (or even “added to” without losing its initial state).

  • First, you need to separate power hungry crypto from AI, one provides a real benefit while the other is a useless fiat that can be accomplished without dumping gigawatts down the drain. If you want to trade crypto that’s fine, just don’t use a vulgar amount of society’s power to do it.

  • Laden with ads and an algorithm to keep you watching as long as possible. A decade ago you could look something up on YouTube and find a quick video and be done. Now even the most basic answer is a ten minute video, which is required for monetization.

Get off of YouTube, it’s junk.

  • U.S. companies don’t steal

You made this dumb claim, not me.

And the point was there are steep consequences to stealing. Unlike China parading around like they’re some kind of divine power when they just steal shit all day long.

  • No, I’m afraid not. In America there are laws against stealing shit, look at what happened to the Apple Watch over the past few weeks. Or the billions Adobe paid to look at Figma’s IP.

I hope you spend decades creating something new and exciting only to have someone else come along and steal it. I’m sure you’ll shrug it off 🤷 and say they were just competing (since now you’ve said it’s not poverty driven).

What’s the next goalpost you’re going to move?
