Microsoft shuts down Cortana app on Windows 11 | The digital assistant was first part of Windows Phone and now it’s being discontinued on Windows.

  • Its such a shame they wasted that name on such a dud. An actually useful AI helper named cortana is a no-brainer for them.

  • Exactly. Most good comedy uses that at least occasionally. Look at Always Sunny!

    For them to not age well because of sexism/etc, it would have to not be comedically poking those topics.

  • And "more" is relative. All the nuclear waste ever created worldwide could be stored in a single specialized facility if we were inclined to do so.

    Compare against the waste generated at a single coal plant.

  • Another +1 to Nova from me on my Pixel 6.

    It has enough features to solve whatever problems you have with default. Its easy to setup and customize. Its responsive and never had any issues with it. Easy to recommend.
