  • Very well put. However, the last part is up to you and yours, not them. Exactly what you're doing with this comment, do it in real life, and have others do it too. Spread the word from inside out, because that's where the heart is. That's where REAL change happens, the people closest to you. Get THEM on board, and make them advocates. That's how we change.

  • Ohh man, ik respecteerde Mark al, maar nu nóg meer. Die heerlijke nuchtere "uhh, wat praat deze gast?" blikken.. xD

Edit: Pardon my French, I'll rephrase for our Dutch-stunted fellow lemmings:

Ohh man, I already respected Mark, but even more so now. That lovely sober "Uhh, what the hell is this guy saying" look around... xD

Addendum: A true communication specialist. We sent the best of the generation: Teflon Mark!

  • It's possible, and if you do it right there shouldn't be too much structural damage that would affect conductivity. It's a lot of work though.

As long as the plate is even and clean, mounting is not bent, you should be fine.

If the mounting plate is not OK, be careful - - you could damage the mobo and cpu.

  • I mean, I get it, I feel the same sometimes. It's just much better to strip them of their assets and dump em all on epstein island with a survival package including guide.

Let them learn how to survive for real instead. Much better punishment.

(I mean, look at Australia, those guys became pretty awesome. Not perfect, but hey.. We're all human.)

  • Super duper shortsighted article.

I mean, sure, some points are valid. But there's not just programmers involved, other professions such as psychologists and Philosophers and artists, doctors etc. too.

And I agree AGI probably won't emerge from binary systems. However... There's quantum computing on the rise. Latest theories of the mind and consciousness discuss how consciousness and our minds in general also appear to work with quantum states.

Finally, if biofeedback would be the deciding factor.. That can be simulated, modeled after a sample of humans.

The article is just doomsday hoo ha, unbalanced.

Show both sides of the coin...

  • I'm not local to the UK, just educated. As everyone else, we too have a common dialect and many local variants.

I most often prefer to use common, for understanding. We're all common in some way or another after all. 🙂

  • The meme is inaccurate, brits would indeed pronounce the "he" in hell as well, if educated.

However; many dialects see "blohdy 'ell" (phonetically written) or some variation of it, as common.

So I understand your confusion, but there's order in the chaos. Always is. 😉

  • Ask questions, like "How did you interpret what I said?". Neutral and always non-confrontational. Make sure it's an open question, so no yes/no answers.

That will help you understand their thought process and figure out a more effective way to explain yourself to that person. Maybe even in general.
