  • This is called lying. Politicians do this - usually when their mouths are open - to get elected and stay in power so they can make lots of money and influence, all while standing on your neck. And not having to ever so much as chip a fingernail.

  • Bernie Sanders, who originally did run as an independent for the presidential election in 2016, had to turn to running as a democrat

And then he stepped down to officially endorse Hellary. I often wonder how many family members did they threaten to murder if he didn’t step down and back her.

  • Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Certain things will be global, but in terms of repair availability etc. you follow Louis Rossman? He’s been trying to get right to repair in Congress and meanwhile the lobbyists keep pushing back and some manufacturers are starting to just plain go evil. The shit some of them are pulling - in many industries. So I’m just saying we will get the kind of advantages that just have to be included due to logistics, but anything that’s local regulation we are getting worse and worse in the U.S.A. companies are rapidly jumping onto new levels of evil and the FTC has only now got a woman with balls - pardon the expression - but they can only do so much and it’s not even enough.

  • Wow! I think Louis Rossman will be happy about this, although the U.S.A. lobbyists are most likely trying to push in the opposite direction. I mean, we stand to benefit in that manufacturers are unlikely to make different models, but anything beyond the physical can be differentiated by region so they can continue to screw the consumer senseless in U.S.A. while the EU actually continues to do good for the consumers.

  • I would first decide like what kind of genre and type of personality you’re looking for. Then I’d Google “famous…. &&&s from history” like inventors, or military leaders, or doctors, etc. to find available choices. You could also search for “notorious” for people who aren’t totally good, or “unsung / uncredited” for people who did great achievement but never got credit or fame. You get the idea. Narrow down what you’d like first, because otherwise there’s seriously too much to choose from.

  • Oh absolutely an SSD. Especially now they’re ridiculously cheap! My first ever one was a Samsung Evo 840 and it was crazy spendy. However, it is still in the same laptop which is an insanely resilient laptop. I think they didn’t market it much because it was too good lol.

But now, among my machines I have like two dozen SSDs. They’re so affordable and a lot of good brands.

I’d go with ElementaryOS though because it’s just so polished and elegant.

  • There was never any such ideas being part of it. It affected plantlife and bacteria as well. The idea of a soul to begin with is not even supported by science, although most people consider it to have some kind of validity, even if it's not quite definable. But the relevant issue is that it's all life period.

  • Seriously, Linux. It’s way overdue that regular consumers switch. How much longer do people want to be Microsoft’s bitches?

    Be free.

There are quite a few distros that are very beginner-friendly, such as Mint and Ubuntu, Zorin - and my favorite Elementary. It’s seriously gorgeous.

  • It’s not a meme, it’s a psychological concept. It boils down to when you attribute a motive or a mindset to someone when in fact you’re only speculating based on that of your own. So if you assert that someone let’s say is doing something because they’re afraid of xyz - and in fact there could be many reasons and there’s no real evidence of what you’re claiming, but if your peers know that that is a characteristic of yours, they might accuse you of projecting.
