Do yourselves a favor kids: if you hope to have a future, open a textbook and stop getting your reality from YouTube. Many of you literally have no idea what’s true anymore. Open some textbooks while they still are allowed to exist.

I read more than once, though have never fact checked, that no republican ever got elected had the popular vote, only through the electoral college’s undemocratic system did they ever get elected. Anyone know if this is accurate?

Also because much of our population are apathetic idiots. There’s also that.

I’m having a hard time understanding the distinction of the voting method how its outcome differs from popular. I kinda feel like I get that there is a difference, but it’s not clicking. I’m probably just too tired.

I can’t see the red states ever getting on board with this, since the only way they’ve ever won is via the college and not the popular. They would be resigning their historical preference (based on history of the vote). Am I wrong? This seems to me to be how it stands.

And yet no two snowflakes are identical. What a Thinky™ !

I second this! Seriously, we’re done with the lot of them. They’re no longer needed for intelligent people; at this point in time, they can be relegated to the sea floor of cyberspace to join all the other bottom-feeders.

I have numerous machines and use several. On my main, KDE because of all the customization. Widgets, window styles, colors, themes etc. It's really like exactly how I want for maximum efficiency and productivity.

I've got gnome on my hybrid notebook and my transformer pad because gnome with Wayland is amazingly compatible with touchscreen.

I have one machine running Elementary which has the Pantheon DE it's kinda like Gnome with modifications.

And finally, I have an older system so just for efficiency, LXQt.

I do enjoy trying out different ones and especially more esoteric ones that I occasionally come across.
