I used to be able to type out a full text with my phone barely opened in my pocket in class, certainly can't do that with touchscreens 😅
These days I can type pretty fast on a touchscreen but I do sometimes miss the old days of unique flip phones compared to the boring slabs of glass we get now.
There's still hope for the Habs to end the drought they originally set. If the Oilers can't do it then hopefully they can! God tier rebuild, everything seems to have panned out extremely well in my (heavily biased) opinion.
God damn it I've been avoiding r/hockey (90% of my reddit use is r/hockey because c/hockey on Lemmy is (mostly) dead sadly) since the loss because I'm salty AF that fucking florida of all states has had such sustained success with the lightning and the panthers being good lately, and the first time I ever see a hockey meme on lemmy is this?
Really?
I'm a Habs fan first but the Oilers are my 2nd team and I fucking hate that the shithole that is florida, where the average person is probably dumber than a 5th grader, gets 4 fucking cups this fast while Canada continues it's drought since 1993.
At least I can always laugh at the leafs being an eternal embarrassment, so at least I got that going for me.
Even as a Canadian, I honestly prefer the cheap butter flavored syrup. I grew up on that stuff and I fucking love it so much. Real maple syrup is still delicious but I'll always choose some good old butter flavored syrup.
F-droid is something I genuinely enjoy browsing through, reminds me of the early days of Android 2.0-2.3 when I actually enjoyed using and customising my phone.
I miss the old days of phones being fun and looking forward to both hardware and software upgrades.
Final fantasy 13. Rented it as a kid for the 360 for a week and loved it. Didn't get to finish it, but as soon as it released for PC shortly after I built my first PC I played it and loved it. I now have over 300 hours in the game on steam and have beaten it 4 times. One of my favourite FF games despite how much the fanbase shits on the game.
I also don't care for the 2nd game in the trilogy despite that being the fanbase's "preferred" game of the trilogy. Did not like the "monster as a 3rd party member" thing at all. Lightning returns is also amazing and I've put a couple hundred hours into that game and beaten it 3 times as well.
Love the FF 13 games even if they get shit on a lot by FF fans. 13 will always be one of my favourite games.
I get your point but the speed of the CPU means nothing without mentioning the specific model. My old i7-4790k came stock at 4.4GHz and would massively struggle to run modern games, but if I underclocked my current 7600x to 3.2GHz it would easily handle the latest games at 60 FPS.
Just gotta appeal to the lowest common denominator. Stupid/unempathetic people far outnumber decent people sadly. Or at least that's what it feels like these days.
Nah, it's more of a grey-ish when it used to be white. Only better pillow I've ever used is one of those fancy ones with memory foam and cooling gel on the top that my ex had. That was an amazing pillow.
I have a feather pillow, a regular thick pillow that you would find in most hotels, and a body pillow but I always go back to my ancient thin pillow for my head. Everything else gives me a sore neck and I can't stomach paying 150+ CAD for a fancy pillow when my old faithful works just fine to this day.
The rest of my pillows are hugging pillows, and that's the best use I've found for thicker pillows.
And then there's me, using the same ancient, flat, worn out pillow since 2007. You can only have it by prying it from my cold dead body. I fuckin love that thing, I've tried many pillows since then but I always go back to my good old faithful.
