  • I've worked for a Steel Company in that part of Arkansas before. In my experience what drove companies to move there were:

    • Lax environmental regulations
    • Access to the Mississippi river for raw materials
    • Cheap electricity from local coal and gas plants
    • Anti Union state and local governments
    • Tax incentives from the state and local governments

Wages weren't really bad from what I remember. Many jobs starting at $80k, with good production bonus incentives. Though the work was often very physical with long working hours.

  • I don't believe that theory. How does an ISP impact the functionality of a voting machine, especially when they have paper copies of the ballots? It's not like they were running SpaceX software on the machine, just using it as an Internet connection to report results to a centralized database. Conspiracies like this are what we fought against in 2020, when the QAnon fools thought Hugo Chavez and Dominion stole the election from Trump.

  • The only thing I'd change is to find a purple case for the Frog TKL that matches more closely to the color of the Frog Pad. But, I'm still happy with the keyboard, and the color difference is less pronounced in real life, than the picture would make it seem.

  • I'm with you, it's really disappointing seeing it get this bad. It feels like Missouri has been trying it's hardest to catch up to Texas and Florida, in fighting the culture war. Example: one of the Republican candidates for governor wants to get rid of the state's department of education.

  • FTA: "As per FlightGlobal, the FAA’s proposal is the latest in a series of regulatory actions that have been taken in response to the discovery of iron inclusion in several types of GE Aerospace engines, including the GEnx and CFM International Leap turbofans. The GEnx powers Boeing 787 aircraft, while the Leap powers Boeing 737 Max and Airbus A320neo-family aircraft."

  • Seems like the title is a bit deceptive. It mentions multiple airliners from both Boeing and Airbus, that are potentially in need of having engine components replaced, due to defects introduced by GE Aerospace.
