I come in here specifically to catch up on US election coverage. It's better than other news feeds I have. I totally understand why it's annoying but I also appreciate it for myself. People seem to be more real in the comments compared to other communities. The articles at the top aren't what I find elsewhere. Sorry you have to work so hard to curate your experience though.
The end of the petrodollar is complicated. On the one hand it reenforced American hegemony and propped up US financial institutions and instruments. On the otherhand it was quite unfair and sometimes unpopular even among US allies.
The end of it means US finance will have to work harder to stay competitive and the US has to trade currency on (slightly) more equal footing but it might lower international resentment.
The answer is people like to hate those they don't understand. People hate based on skin color, body fat, sexual orientation, and all sorts of differences. Now it seems like hating those cursed with psychological disorders around sexual attraction and children is in vogue. In twenty years it will be a new group.
Being sexually attracted to children is rape? Not in my world. You're like one of those people saying an earring makes a man gay. Where I come from fucking a dude makes a man gay not an earring. And raping a child makes someone a child rapist not being attracted to a child.
I would love to vote for Mitt Romney instead of Biden. Can we make that happen? I'll vote for basically anything over Trump but I don't like the Biden Harris ticket at all.
