I am on a "1 Gig plan" (fiber, but with another provider) and I am able to upload AND download at nearly 1Gb (more close to 970M).
Main advantage over garbage like Comcast is the upload speed, which most US companies slash, trying to turn Internet into "consumption focused" medium, rather than exchange medium.
You probably don't need 2GB. Maybe even not 1GB. I have 1GB Internet and love the speeds, but unless I'm downloading a game from steam, I never really max it out.
That said, for someone who grew up before the Internet and experienced 28K modems (and slower), it's hella rude to sometimes just run ookla speed test for kicks.
I'd it's an OLED model, test the headphone jack. Many decks have constant hiss/static/noise on that port - you can get it RMA'd if you contact support, but that means you'll be sending it away for 10 days or so to get sound board replaced.
Other than that, I recommend installing DECKY which is an ad on that in turn allows installing useful plugging such as incorporating deck compatibility rating into games displayed, better power management, etc
MP3tag is a great app for fixing ID tags on audio files. You can pull info from online databases, add album art, add tags based on file names, or rename files based on tags.

To everyone ready with their pitchforks, here is a scenario: lemmy.world may receive a court order (subpoena?) mandating they disclose data on people actively accessing pirate communities. As it happened with Reddit, they may ask for logs and IP addresses of people commenting, posting or perhaps even up/down voting content.
Even though none of the content is being posted/hosted with this instance, admins may be asked to betray user trust - or to go battle claimants in court. It's a lose-lose for them, so maybe let's cut them some slack, eh?
Ah, by the way, no imprecise language. Lowercase b = bit. Uppercase B = Byte. Gigabit and Gigabyte.
To get Gigabyte bandwidth, divide the Gigabits by 8 (8 bits in 1 byte)
So, 250MB per 1sec, or 2GB in 8sec.
