Not all nations with legislatures have legislatures that actually represent the will of the people.

I just don't see the will. Humanity in all likelyhood will follow the path of least resistance off a cliff without exercising radical violence or radical democracy. I think we're too cowardly to act, and the owners correctly bet on that mass fear and indolence. We largely don't think of our children, only our own immediate consequences.

Theres only about 3,000 billionaires on earth, and only about 28,000 people worth 100 million or more. There are bigger sports stadiums on Earth than that. Our species' true enemy's numbers are tiny.

I used to rhetorically say for years that our global oligarchs won't let us steer away from reckless economic growth/metastasis until CAT 6 hurricanes, because they'll need a new level of intensity, are flattening entire cities.

I've grown wiser since then. Literally nothing will stop our global oligarchs from running up their ego competition scores at humanity's expense until civilization truly, completely, entirely collapses, not even from cities being flattened from a single superstorm.

There is a moment, immediately at the commencement of piss, where the stream may or may not flow predictably. Usually this is after sleep or sex, but can happen at any time. This can mean the stream veers hard left/right until correcting, this can mean literally 2 separate streams.

I hear you, but It's impossible to create a working model. The US literally toppled South American governments to make its resource markets open to our market capitalists. Look what we've inflicted on Cuba for half a century, and I look to their survival in the face of it as inspirational.

You may be right, that if all we can do is make claims in our appeal for radical action, the market capitalists will maintain power. To that I say, that is probably what will happen. This isn't a fairy tale or a movie where everything will work out in the end, the trajectory we're on leads to hell for our species, and we will in all likelihood arrive to that hell. If we're too comfortable or too afraid to do otherwise in spite of the evidence and increasingly our experience of the consequences, this only ends one way.

Market capitalism has been tested, run its course, and imho, it takes a fool not to declare it a complete failure and danger to the species. But I'm just a random perceptive asshole, so that doesn't change anything.

IF humanity cared about its own future, it doesn't btw, we'd be focused on shrinking humanity's footprint significantly over the next few generations to find homeostasis/equilibrium with this world, the only world we will ever encounter as a species that is naturally hospitable to us.

But that's a non starter. Not only will we not do that, but we will refuse to so much as temper our reckless growth/metastasis, even in the face of oblivion.

These people that attempt to paint Jesus as some clean cut, light skinned fashion model is some prosperity gospel shit that intentionally glosses over the teachings of Jesus Christ as written in the New Testament.

Jesus had disdain for those that reveled in greed and decadence. He basically told them they wouldn't be welcome in heaven as they were. If Jesus were real, I can't imagine he'd be pleased being portrayed as some stylish, vain douche of means.

If Christians actually practiced the teachings of Jesus Christ of the new testament, I might not have been so quick to run away. That would involve praising selflessness, acceptance of different cultures, and giving till it it hurts, and shunning greed, gluttony, vanity, and self-interest though, so it was always a non-starter.

The teachings of Jesus of Nazareth are just plain wholly incompatible with the modern global economy, which is human civilization's true god.
