Sounds like you know what we need to do, but you haven't seen quite enough to be there yet.

Protesting in the US has been completely neutered in the wake of the civil rights movement.

We can technically "protest," just like we can technically say our opinions, but only with a permit in designated protest zones at designated protest times out of the eyelines and profit operations of those being protested, making American protest completely non-disruptive, which is a non-sequitur.

A protest must be disruptive, or it is closer to masturbation than protest.

After the fall of slavery and Jim Crow, our capitalists learned something: it's easier to give the slaves the illusion of freedom with social wedge choices and irrelevant protest than it is to put chains on our ankles or instituting direct dictates outlining our servitude to our capitalists.

If they just make us poorly educated by starving public education and therefore largely incapable of critical thinking, they can work us to death for almost nothing, then let us die in the streets after we're too broken to be of use to their profit, all the while telling us to look at our fellow slaves that look different or act different through their for profit media and tell us it's each other's faults and to hate one another. "Are immigrants/homeless/minorities/leftists stealing your prosperity? More after these commercial messages, you stupid fucking peasants! Remember, don't look up!"

Divide and profit. Way easier than mowing down dissenters with tanks, just turn their fellow slaves against them if they speak up. "Herp derp why do you hate freedom?!"

Not if they don't care and neither party offers a candidate willing to curtail corporate profits.

I don't see a neoliberal or a fascist doing that. If there is another election that isn't an "election."

Capitalists see almost everyone, ie poors, the same way conservatives see their out groups: less than human.

I voted for Harris, and Biden, and Clinton with my nose held, after phone banking for Sanders in two primaries.

If they don't abandon neoliberalism next cycle whole cloth then The Fascists can rule the ashes, I'm done.

This nation CAN ONLY DECLINE so long as there is no major party defending the needs of the people from the murderous capitalists.

Not that there's going to be another free election anyway. That's the Neoliberals fault as much as the Fascists for institutionalizing their respective bribe gravy trains and making them their only priorities.

We can have metastasizing capital markets, oligarchy, and murder for profit, or a democratic republic. Not both. And only the former until the planet physically puts us in our place and ends civilization for our hubris, which we deserve.

Im enjoying all the capitalist oligarchs losing their minds over Deepseek destroying the piles of money they were already counting in their heads. It's not much, but it's something.

Their unhinged need for growth/metastasis to to feed their ego scores is unquenchable and ending the world.

It's tragic we won't physically stop them via revolution. We are cowards that mistake this quiet slaughter for peace. The planet will have to do it for us, and take us and a lot of innocent surface life with them.

As an American, good. They have their sins, but their people are educated, courteous, and prosocial. Our people are ignorant, hateful, and selfish.

Looking at that from a standpoint of what path is best for humanity? I'm ashamed of my nation's values and people. My people reject knowledge and wisdom, I can't stand with that.

The old rules assumed good faith and shared goals.

There has been no good faith in over 50 years in DC, and capitalism has turned everything into a zero sum individual greed game.

I voted for Harris in attempted harm reduction.

But if those people are the focus of your ire and not the administration or those that voted for him, your giving the actual villains a hell of a pass.

People will turn out for Democrats when they abandon neoliberalism. If they'd rather support big corpo to the world's end, then we'll never get a vote in the right direction until collapse.

The gravy train runs to both parties as long as they protect this sociopathic grift of an economy from the people it enslaves. The DNC would consider winning on a platform of ending oligarchy (which could only ever happen with a left wing populist that steals the party out from under them like Trump did to the GOP, solely to steal their grift machine in his case) a catastrophic defeat and national crisis on the level we wish they'd treat Trump like.

It's why leaders like Nancy Pelosi make it their mission to sabotage spoiler members (because both parties promote on the basis of being a good bribe getter and taker) like AOC. She spent weeks before Trump was inaugurated making calls to prevent AOC's committee leadership bid. There's the DNC's priorities.

Our whole captured government is a game of neoliberal/fascist-good cop/bad cop. Do you want to waste your life enriching sociopath would be pharoahs with affirmation ribbons or scapegoats? A con game we can't stop playing as we're exploited dry.

A non-disruptive protest is masturbation.

A protest is disruption.

That's why protests in designated protest zones out of the eyelines and more importantly away from the profit operations of those being protested are an intentional and effective method of completely neutering protest.

We have protest in the US. It just doesn't mean anything anymore.

The SCOTUS can "interpret" a challenged Jay walking law as "well this clearly says the President can order the killing of all the minorities with abandon" and that's it, no recourse short of physically fighting and dying to them.

The framers slept in on Checks on the Judicial day. An impossibly high senate impeachment bar. For that reason and more, our constitution needs to collapse and we need a new one, one that treats practiced greed, ie pursuing many times more than what your fellow citizens live on, as the central threat to society that it is.

But the Neoliberals haven't given us anything to vote for for half a century.

Good cop neoliberals with affirmation ribbons/bad cop Fascists with scapegoats, both for human beings dying in the streets for the crime of no longer being able capitalist exploitation livestock in droves as a threat to laborers to produce for their shared donors.

A vote for democrats is a vote for quiet slaughter, a vote for Republicans is a vote for loud, braggadocious slaughter. We don't get a vote for peace. We don't get a vote on the economy. Only the social wedges that don't meaningfully effect quarterly earnings expectations.

Luigi tried showing us who our shared enemy is, and it isn't their revolving door middle managers in DC.

I don't respect my own nation enough anymore to care what we call locations. Nice to see other nations don't respect our dictates either.
