The mainstream conservatives (i.e. those within the Overton window of what’s acceptable in mainstream society, or not open Nazis/KKK) have the big corporate networks. Those Nazis who are too Nazi for Elon Musk have their own instances which everybody else fediblocks from orbit just to be sure, where they can run around, sieg-heil and shout racial slurs all day to their hearts’ content. Which leaves those to the left of the centre-right, who are divided between the tankie-triad instances (full of people who think that Stalin did nothing wrong and Putin’s OK too) and the rest (which ranges from liberals to ancoms).

He’ll be parachuted into 10 Downing St. to run the UK.

Maglevs could revolutionise the future of inflexible point-to-point links (they’re mostly used for things like showpiece airport trains, and future plans are fixed single-line systems like the Japanese one). IIRC, unlike legacy double-rail systems, you can’t have switches for diverting trains between two lines at speed, meaning that the sorts of flexible railway networks that currently exist can’t be replicated with maglev.

I was against school bullying, but now am of the opinion that Musk should have been shoved into many more lockers.

Do they believe that, somewhere, there is still a dole like the one punk rock was built on in the 70s, or have romantic visions of sleeping under the stars and making enough coin begging/busking to buy the odd kebab? Or are these people who have generational wealth they can tap into, making unemployment into a sabbatical of sorts?
