  • I don't disagree with the necessity of a class war.

But when people like this inhibit progress towards a class war, they will be removed as a hurdle and I will absolutely be happy about it. There is nothing wrong with that.

  • It isn't about disagreeing politically, I disagree with friends of mine politically. It's about the fact that they go out of their way to hurt others and cause suffering, and they think it's fine.

I'm not OK with that because I'm a human being that cares - sorry you don't understand that.

  • Improved efficiencies should mean we all benefit across all sectors and ways of life.

But improved efficiencies actually mean none of us benefit except those at the top. We should all of us be paid more, have more time off, and have more excess - but at a high level we are all paid no extra, we get no extra time off, we get no excess - that all gets enjoyed by those at the top.

This is one of many reasons this should be a class war, not a culture war.

  • A recent job I had, Product kept saying this over 2ish years...

...at the end of the stint and with ~2 weeks until launch, they laid off all but one person on the team (some 12 engineers or so, myself included).

I often wonder how much shit that person is wading through leading up to launch and post-launch fighting fires.

  • From another article...

On July 5, as floodwaters were starting to recede, FEMA received 3,027 calls from disaster survivors and answered 3,018, or roughly 99.7%, the documents show. Contractors with four call center companies answered the vast majority of the calls.

That evening, however, Noem did not renew the contracts with the four companies and hundreds of contractors were fired, according to the documents and the person briefed on the matter.

The next day, July 6, FEMA received 2,363 calls and answered 846, or roughly 35.8%, according to the documents. And on Monday, July 7, the agency fielded 16,419 calls and answered 2,613, or around 15.9%, the documents show.

So, yeah, this will not end well for anyone except billionaires who we, the people, should be at war with.

  • I really hope these people I knew of who purposely moved to Texas to support Texas politics lost their home. 🤞

Is that mean of me? No, these people constantly voted for things that hurt or even killed people around me. They pushed beliefs that actively harm other people. I would have zero remorse if my wishful thinking came true.

As for what we do next, I wish my state would stop paying federal taxes.

  • Feel free to message me, maybe I can help. I create web apps and other tools for companies as a career, so the only caveat is that I'm pretty booked right now so my ability to take it on would really depend on the complexity.

  • I worked for a company that had Play-Doh, pipe cleaners, scratch pads, and colored pencils for meetings like this. Could you bring things like that?

I fidgeted and made all sorts of stupid things with it, but it worked.

  • Can I create a non-profit that continues this but allows contributors tax deductions?

Frankly, if the government isn't going to do something they can and should, and I am, then I feel everyone should get a charitable deduction for it because fuck paying taxes to this current admin.

  • I frequent dive bars. I have met plenty of people who believe in kindness, and love, and Jesus and shit - but not for immigrants, not for non-white people, not for criminals of any level. I straight up have had these people say this to my non-white face and then say, "oh but you don't count because you have a job" or "you don't count because you aren't a drug addict". Etc. etc.

These people suck fucking dick and I want them all to die.

It's fucking ironic too when these same people talk about smoking weed, or stealing from big box stores self-checkouts, or vandalizing some dude's car.

"Rules for thee, not for me."

I read local obituaries solely to celebrate when I see some of these people die.
