  • I don't understand why anyone wants to stop it. I'm a teacher and since ChatGPT came out, my job got so much easier. I will say, ahead of my examples, that I proofread everything it creates and make sure all the facts are straight before submitting anything, but it's still a lot quicker.

I can use it to provide feedback on students work, I use it to write up lesson plans and schemes of work, I use it to draft emails, I use it to give me ideas for activities etc.

99.9% of the time there are parts I need to edit or delete due to irrelevance but it's done the bulk of the work. This is the same for students work, if they don't proofread it they will most likely hand in incorrect work.

  • If you're not a yank then you probably won't know but basically one of their republican morons who shouts about trans people being a sexual danger to children and calling them rapists etc was caught having her very nice cleavage fondled in a theatre full of children.

  • I think this one suits me most without sounding like I'm blowing my own trumpet.

I would include that my common sense is brutally lacking. I would also say that I'm happy with short answers but I'm emotionally stunted enough to consider everything without too much bias.

  • In HVAC, I've been called out to look at the air con in an office block and person A is cold but person B right next to them is hot, there's nothing we can do to help that.

One simple solution that seems to work each and every time is the placebo effect. I say ok, give me an hour, I'll adjust the parameters and check over the system operation. I then sit in the plant room for an hour paying on my phone, come back to see if it's better and 9 times out of 10 they're both suddenly happy.
