We have very different definitions of what constitutes "humour and intelligence" I see. They aren't funny or clever, they're mildly annoying.
I really wish they didn't co-opt my favourite dog breed for their shitty "movement".
EDIT: Also I don't know if anyone saw the representatives that showed up at that summit, but...man. They couldn't fit the stereotype any harder honestly.
"Tisdall is a proponent of regime change as a political and military tool of Western bloc countries to enforce a change of government or leadership in an opposing or designated enemy country."
While I am sure there would be some outcry, there is a very large percentage of US liberals that would probably be thrilled to see communists banned [again]. McCarthy couldn't wish for a better political climate of fear than they have over there right now.
I have always liked Tamaki; obviously he has a lot of reason to but he has never been one to shy away from criticising the rest of the government here as he isn't connected to the LDP. Especially the US occupation of Okinawa/Ryukyu.
Using Britain as your example is probably not the best look. However, it will be a problem even if elections are reinstated because he already banned opposition parties.
This way he can "reinstate elections" and be praised as a pioneer of democracy without any real risk to himself because all his political opponents are already outlawed.
Of course, that is all under the assumption he would still be in power after the war.
EDIT: Also, how long is "the duration of the war". Until a ceasefire? Until one side surrenders? Zelensky would probably say until the unconditional surrender of Russia, an event that is never going to happen.
Now the US has just learned to bomb countries with drones instead of bothering to declare war, save themselves a lot of time. That way they never need to bother with inconveniences like approval or popular opinion.
That seems to be an ongoing trend. The issue for them isn't that these folks are nazis, but that they are too visibly a nazi. Kind of like the soldiers with nazi patches making it awkward for the poor New York Times.
Western media needs at least a couple more years to condition people first before they can be quite so public about it.
They'll probably filter away away to other instances that block lemmygrad I imagine. Or more likely, go back to their reddit echo chambers where they can feel smart.
Always gotta love the faux-confidence the libs have of knowing they are always right, because they can dismiss anyone who doesn't agree with them as biased/a shill/propagandist.
Heaven forbid somebody engage in an intellectually honest debate with somebody with a differing opinion. Even if somebody IS spouting propaganda, you don't become tainted by having a discussion with them; you might even convince a third party who is viewing.
I believe I also saw that they were using glass graded for 1300m max for the viewport.
...for a 4000m dive.
Even if the oxygen supply wasn't an issue, I can't imagine that the thing hasn't shattered by now.
I swear, this was all an elaborate ploy to get rid of rich people, because nobody would actually put together a vessel so unsuited for the task.
Well yes, they lied to us about every war up to now, but THIS time they are telling the truth. Surely they wouldn't lie 12 times in a row!
