I'm probably gonna be the unlucky soul who has to do all this for my dad, if he chooses Linux Mint. I've showed him the cinnamon version and I'm probably gonna be the one helping him do a clean install after he backs up everything he needs/wants from his laptop. Alongside helping him learn a few things so he can run his laptop without too many issues.

One of my all time favorites right now is Brok The Investigator.

It's a game by French company COWCAT Games that is describes as a point and click beat'em-up game. Has lots to do because there are multiple endings. It has a free visual novel made to essentially showcase a vn engine that can be used to make BTI fan games or your own creations and has an upcoming DLC (apparently only gonna be $9.99) that focuses more on the combat side of the game.

It's currently available on PS4/5 (vita planned but scrapped), xbox (don't know if they mean one and series x/s or just series), switch, steam, itch(dot)io, and even epic if you hate yourself.

With the amount of content the main game of Baba Is You comes with, alongside the level editor and custom modded level packs people have made for it, would 100% recommend it.

Finding Paradise is absolutely an amazing game. Would absolutely recommend a blind playthrough of it, or at least a no-commentary walkthrough if nothing else.

If it isn't able to federate to other servers and/or services, like kbin to lemmy and such, without 3rd party tools like the bluesky bridge thingamajig, absolutely not.

Just call all the older gentlemen like my dad and they'd be able to find all the coins in a matter of minutes. You know, the type of people who will randomly bend over to pick up a coin no matter how hidden it is or how well it blends in. Doesn't matter if they're looking up at the sky, some sort of 6th sense will go off in their head and they'll immediately find the coin and pick it up.

Just wait 3 months after switch 2 releases. If you already have a gaming computer, I can almost guarantee that you'll be able to play launch titles at 10-20fps on an emulator, so long as sintendo do such a piss-poor job of antipiract measures in their consoles (like they've always done).

I'm nowhere near an expert at this type of stuff, but I assume some form of signal blocking device could work, so long as you don't mind blocking your phone's signal. Assuming it doesn't have local storage and relies on something like a cell tower signal, cutting the signal might be the best option.

I can almost guarantee they're testing on hardware that consumers could only dream of when making games to make sure they can hide piss poor optimization.

My bank app does the same and will most likely log me out if I end up switching to a different app. I don't mind because I'd rather have that happen than have a stranger come up, steal my phone while unlocked, and be able to access my bank details (no matter how unlikely that scenario is).

Definitely wacky cartoons like Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog or maybe season 1 of Reboot (part way through season 2, so I don't know whether the rest of the seasons are as light hearted as season 1), both shows you can laugh at the obsurdities of it all and in Reboots case laugh at the very outdated animation.

Definitely now considering I wouldn't have even made it to 10 years old before dying if it wasn't for modern surgery. Would have probably died for unknown reasons to them and I probably would have been marked as having been possessed by some sort of evil spirit or demon if for whatever reason they cut me open and found the weird growth attached to my heart.

To see the chaos, definitely some place like yt. Imagine you are watching an hour long video essay about something you love but you have to keep interacting with the website/app in some way that disrupts the video every 5 or so minutes or else you get locked out and require 2FA every time.

I imagine after a long enough time, the lazy people would just quit going and using their service all together. I know I would.

Specifically on Deck, I think I've been relegated to just Pokemon Rejuvenation, Baba Is You, and Gemcraft Frostborn Wrath.

I tried getting gyro controls working for Dolphin to play the 2 Sonic book based games, but I can't figure it out with my stupidity and cannot find a used compatible USB or bluetooth IFR sensor online for the wii remote I can connect to my deck.

Knowing me, do what I normally do in my free time, but hopefully actually get projects done.

I'd have plenty of time to play games, watch my shows, listen to CDs/music, hopefully finish a project I started on Wattpad or another program, and spend time learning coding to help with my NeoCities site and some other projects I wanna work on but don't know enough to make become a realiety.

I spent a lot of time playing Sonic Mega Collection on gamecube. At least before maybe 6th or 7th grade when I got Borderlands 1 on xbox360.
