The last american to defect to North Korea lived there his whole life and died in 2016.. It is possible he will be able to live a normal life there if he is not stupid that is.

But then again defecting was maybe the stupidest thing he could have done.

Tbh I think the tread design is pretty good. At least for me it's easier to use the desktop than it is to use reddit. Sounds weird but I prefer it.

I hope they improve the overall design tho. There is much need for improvement.

Are we talking about desktop now? If so I've yet to find anything like RES for Lemmy. I really think the front page and views pages could use a redesign.

It's worth it IMO. You get it for the same price that you pay for Spotify and get ad free Youtube + music. IMO that's bigger value.

I agree. US is not the only country in the world, and should not dictate a community like this. If Americans want to discuss politics they should make a com about that, and let the general /c/politics be international politics.

I've been using Gmail forever. I used to use Outlook but there is just so much spam that comes through.

SEO takes loads of time. And since every instance is it's own thing it takes more times to propogate this. I can only see a future where the most popular instances and communities are searchable in search engines. But I hope I'm wrong.

Whenever I meet people that don't drink I praise them. It's great to see people that get this point.

I started to drink around 25 and haven't before because of religion. I do now occasionally drink a beer or a drink but I'm careful to not drink to much and only when I want to enjoy myself.

People pressuring you into drinking is not friends. It's just childish. Find new friends if so!

Thanks for a constructive comment! I would say go for it. You can import playlists. I don't think there is a native way but it might be by now.

I actually think the mixes that Youtube Music makes for you are much better than what Spotify gives you. But then again Google has loads of more data points on us.

You can get a free month I think that's how I got into it.
