  • It's an unpopular opinion but I do agree with this. Google deserves to get a lot of shit for a lot of things, but even after how far downhill YouTube has gone it's still the best hosting/streaming service out there.

Between podcasts at work and normal videos at home I probably watch more than 8hrs of YouTube a day with no issues. I may as well pay for it like I would Netflix, considering I get, like, 20x more out of it in comparison.

If there was a non-enshittified alternative, though, I'd gladly pay for it.

  • He's an absolute garbage human being. There's a podcast that was popular a while back dedicated to reading them and spotlighting exactly how evil he and his message is.

Homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia... All the -phobias. His dedication to hating anyone that's not a white Christian man is almost impressive.

  • I think the hype is warranted in terms of technological progress, it's just the way a lot of big corporations are using it is braindead and often anti-consumer.

It is technically doing exactly what it's supposed to do, but the people in charge at Google seem to have blatantly ignored one of the most important rules of programming: "garbage in, garbage out". They paid for shitpost-tier data, and now it's doing exactly what anyone with half a brain would expect it to do with that information.

  • Otherwise you are free to write Moss and become part of the mod-team

I did when they put that sticky up a while back, but I applied too late and never heard back from them lol

But to be clear I'm not saying we should do that right this instant, I'm just saying it acts as a good deterrent from letting this stuff fester.

  • Dating a depressed/suicidal girl for almost 4 years through middle school. To this day she's still the funniest and smartest person I've ever met, but boy did she put me through hell back then.

But I came out of it with an unbelievable amount of patience and mental fortitude. I also learned how to avoid feeding into extreme attention seeking behavior while still having a productive conversation.
