  • I actually agree with you, that right now its not that bad, but the slippery slope is very much real.

Have you seen the Web Integrity API? That was bad, REALLY bad. You would not have been able to circumvent the marketing.

I dont trust them with my data, because leaks happen, just look them up, basically every company had leak(s) already. But i guess you dont mind if others get this data from you.

Someone was the prime suspect of a crime, because he searched something on Google Search. Like what?! (It wasnt anything illegal they sewrched for.) Also there are so many other ways to catch these predators, you dont need to look through every citizens messages, because these people will know how to use other means of exchanging illicit content.

At the end, we might just agree to disagree. No hard feelings. Cheers!

  • Is it really?

When you send a dm to anyone, you dont mind if anyone can read it? Or you are watching some 18+ stuff, then when you are on a totally different website, and that thing is advertised to you, is it really different?

And also if online, people know who you are, then they know who you are irl.

  • Simplest example: do you have certains in your house / where you live?

I didnt do anything illegally but i still dont want anyone to just stand by my window and have a prime view to my "private" life.

Also if they know everything about you then people (governments, corps etc...) will use it against you in one way or another.

  • Absolutely agree with this one. Write down the problem and then the connections you made and the task that made you understand it.

For me it was interfaces (c# in this context). Like when do you even need them. How could an interface even be an argument for a function??

Then a problem came up, where a List or an Array could be a parameter in a function, but their length/count is not accessed the same way (still c#.) After this it clicked, that with interfaces you dont care whether it is a car or a cat, even a dog, if it can bark, it can be passed as a parameter into this function, and inside the function we only use these interfaced functions.

  • I was literally thinking about this the other day, and my top 5 (it was fcking hard to choose not gonna lie.)

    • #5 Witcher 3
    • #4 Warhammer 40k Darktide
    • #3 Cyberpunk 2077
    • #2 Bloodborne
    • #1 Warhammer 40k Mechanicus

Honorable mention: Ghostrunner (havent played it, but that OST is fire)

  • This I do not understand. I am sure a ton of people pre-ordered Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty even though we know how it launched. (And I love the game, I followed all the news, but even I could wait for a fckin day to wait for the reviews)

  • You can generate a link, which has a token in the url, so you can search while in incognito (or even another browser.)

And to be fair, i pay $10 now because i hope one day it will only cost 5. It does not seem far fetched because they did just lower prices like a week ago. (Unlimited search was 25, now it costs 10)
