  • You’ve got to assume that Twitter can revoke any users access at any time for any reason under its existing terms and conditions. This is a predictable douche move by Musk but the original account holder very likely has zero recourse.

  • I understand where you’re coming from, and i’m sorry your feeling are hurt OP. That said, damn near everything on @lemmy.world is a clone of Reddit. Including this sub. But one of the beauties of the fediverse is that all you have to do is start a sub on any other instance, call it politics and talk about whatever you want. Instead, you’re bitching about carryover “Redditness” and semantics.

As an aside, it’ll be interesting to see if the general voting sentiment changes over the next 5 or 6 hours as the US wakes up. This post is at about +170 as I post this comment.

  • If you think he’s mad now, wait until Disney leaves Florida and all the old people in Tampa die of easily preventable illnesses. He’ll be stuck trying to figure out how to appeal to Cuban expats in Miami and the two ‘Pub cousinfuckers left at FSU.

  • For those born deep into the 20th century it is embedded in our minds that public areas, parks, forests, plazas, sidewalks, streets, incorporated rights reserved for everyone, beyond citizenship even.

This is a false premise. The examples you provide are areas that are for public use, yes, but that use is often restricted. You can’t drive your car on a sidewalk, for instance. That said, while an asset is available for public use, it is your elected leaders who are charged with the stewardship of those public assets. As your representatives, these individuals guide the use of those assets for the best public good. That best good may be disposing of a public asset in exchange for another asset, cash. Which can then fund other projects. You can, and should, feel free to challenge the process of any particular acquisition or disposition but in general, good stewardship is not a human rights violation.

  • He says a lot of things. Many of those things are, charitably, massive exaggerations. Keep in mind that if he’d written even at the pace of about 100 words a day that Winds of Winter would be out already. That’s not even two of the replies you’re reading now. Don’t get me wrong, GRRM doesn’t owe me anything. But jokes about his effort are entirely fair.

  • Troll comments, like your entire post history @lexicondexicon@lemmy.world, aren’t worth constructively engaging because you’re not actually trying to have a discussion. Instead, commenters like you are typically either JAQing off or simply parroting echo chamber level hate. Mockery is 100% the proper response. It doesn’t dignify your nonsense.

  • Just goes to show “conservative Christians” have never read the Bible:

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

    • Proverbs 6:16-19, describing Donald Trump
  • Just because you say it louder and more desperately doesn’t make it true 😂🤣🤣.

The civil war was fought and won.

I’m glad you feel that way. Because, by your own rule of might Taiwan is an independent country since mainland Taiwan can’t take the island. It’s been 75 years. The war is over. Get over it. You lost. Taiwans sovereignty has been decided and must be protected.

Anyway, best of luck in your future astroturfing endeavors. Maybe try and do better than impotent threats and accusations.

  • This is a lot of words and still you completely botch the analogy. Instead, you might suppose that the Confederacy had prevailed in their rebellion and that the democratically elected President Lincoln and the remaining Northern army had fled.

In reality, the government of Taiwan is the real “China”. Mainland Taiwan is populated by angry traitors.

Your position is built entirely on propaganda, false beliefs, and ignorance.

😂🤣😂 Classic. I’d link you to the Wikipedia article for your own education, but I’m sure that’s blocked for you.

  • A spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, Lt. Christopher Olivarez, told ABC News during an interview on Wednesday that the Department had investigated themselves and found that they had done nothing wrong.
