Almost always, perception lags reality.

We sit around and tut tut about climate change, upheavals droughts and uncertainties. What do we expect to happen, then?

I watched his stuff before the GN kerfuffle . I'm not unfamiliar with the self-promotion, compound-building as content, antics or free-wheeling vids (or vids made to look that way).

The tech signal to total signal is... Low-ish. It's entertaining, it's broad in its scope, but I can find denser, deeper stuff if I care about a topic.

The commonality is that both groups feel oppressed. One because it is and has been through structural inequities. The second because of entitlement and privilege (my freedom should be absolute).

His primary skill and draw is entertainment. Tech is just what fills the gaps between shenanigans, "isn't this cool?" and the next self-deprecating remark.

It's like climate, the correct path will be clear just as soon as it's too late. Not that many aren't already on the right side... just not enough to get the important things done.

He did not require tribute. He's saying that the nations that are not meeting their obligations to the treaty... He'd recommend be attacked.

He's clearly unhinged, but the US is not demanding to be paid here. He's saying the countries should be more invested in their own military readiness.

It's Article 3 of the NATO agreement and Trump's statements are (unusually) clear on this.

He's no diplomatic or strategist. He's alienating allies. But we don't need to strawman him in order to say he's daft.

I think our only solution to this Constitutional crisis is political or repaired by a sudden chance medical condition.
