  • we are not discussing vague problems with subjective solutions. in tech interviews you either solve the problem correctly or you don't. and the evaluation is not subjective. just like the person who said that my comments about car haters made me sound like a billionare boot licker, the creep accusations also say something about the accusers for making baseless projections. even more so with the added "ogling at them", I'm sure that came from somewhere, just not from my comment...

  • I tried to keep my comment as objective as possible since I was aware that people would not like to hear it. So I made no judgement on wether it's good or bad and actually shared how it's a positive thing for me personally.

when you divert your focus to a specific subset of candidates you have stopped prioritizing the best candidate. therefore that candidate has been discriminated against for not having the specific traits you wanted to prioritize. from a moral perspective it seems that we are passing on chances of getting the best candidates. so this is good for my own feelings, but can't be good for the employer.

Honestly. if I felt i was not good enough to overcome the gender discrimination I would have no qualms identifying as a woman to get the job.

  • People don’t like hearing about it but I worked at one of the major sponsor of a past conference and my employer openly admitted that they wanted to increase the % of women in the company. I think that is gender discrimination but i also want more women at work so i am not personally against that.

  • As someone who “crawled out of a shithole” i can accept that “luck” or circumstance plays a big role. But if you are not born privileged and you grasp what’s important to do better and put effort (and the circumstances allow it) then your efforts are as crucial as putting them in the right place which might be impossible to accomplish for most.

For that reason I cannot agree with dismissing my individual actions.

  • you have to understand that some of this people have extremist beliefs because they are poor and resent those who are doing better than them. so having a car makes you a target. edit: as you can see they resent my comment but have no arguments against it.

you can give them a chance if you want but the moment they show their colors you should just block them and move on. the world is full of resentful people. you can usually look at their comment history and see it's getting close to being worth reporting to the fbi in some cases.

  • Afaik some countries treat female urinary infections with what they call female circumcision. here it’s called genital mutilation (at least when the victim is female)

This is why I don’t assume they had an actual medical reason to sterilize her.

  • They did that to me and after the third time they told me to wait without any concrete timeline i asked for a chargeback. The third party seller lied about the delivery but their bogus tracking number dates didn’t align with other facts. At least amazon didn’t ban me and they even apologized for not resolving the issue.

  • Thanks. The latest delays seem to be intentional from the republicans. But march 2023 seems like far too long since January 2021. Does anyone know what happened in 2021 and 2022? I would not be surprised if it’s because of republicans again but I don’t know.

  • Thanks for clarifying your position. You seem to be the type i was describing. Well except that you didn’t claim everyone can get used to it and anyone who can’t is because they are not trying. As te technology stands, making games that only a fraction of the target audience that want and can consume it is not a great idea. Instead you say that most people want what you want and ignore the statistics.
I agree with your opinion that games that cater to me are better than games that don’t.

  • I am not sure if you are mixing allowing teleportation with not allowing natural locomotion or if you are claiming that allowing teleportation would be limiting the game in some form. Many games support both. My comment was about people complaining that the game should not have support for teleportation (since they don’t use it).

There are plenty of multiplayer games with locomotion. The problem you describe regarding not being able to play multiplayer has been resolved in this games with different mechanics. Most of them use some form of stamina so you can’t just run away. To name an example since you claim no one has done it take a look at half life alyx.

I agree with the fact that it doesn’t work well for existing games non vr games. But I don’t want to play those games in vr…

Regarding your static gallery comment that’s not true at all. You teleport to move larger distances but you interact with your environment by moving in the room where you are playing so you can walk, dodge, crawl, etc…. Teleporting is more about repositioning your play space so you can actually walk and move around using your body.
