Bazzite seems superior for handhelds or just pure gaming setups, I game like 20% of the time maybe less these days

I think making your own instance is a big enough barrier to entry to avoid trolls, fediseer exists but has issues if you change your domain but use the same ip.

I agree honestly, swapping to invite only being federated together, with onboarding could work, could be abused like anything but itd be a way to avoid trolls in the invite only servers and figure out whos bringing them in

What you're saying is a bunch of popular servers become closed off, you cant post, comment, or vote unless you are invited, ppl in them dont see your posts unless they allow federation with open registration communities.

Itd basically be another option where servers could choose to interact with open registration ones or not automatically.

I think I heard fedora will never be supported by a ps3 emulator because of some core issues and that turned me away initially, some youtuber was swapping away from it, though now im not sure and it may have been some other distro, cant find info online

Yeah, thats why picking a gaming focused one seems like a good idea, theres a community thatll fix stuff before I need to think of it

Yep, thats when reddit became lame to me initially, they own all the top subs and control the directive, its so against the concept of a community driven forum, they frive the conversation wherever they choose and get better (more abusive) tools every year

Don't necesssrily care about simplicity because I do plan to tinker a lot, I just dont want too frequent updates that arent thoughly tested, I like the 6months to yearly more than the frequent rolling updates, I do plan on messing with the theming a lot since I do that on windows with rainmeter (something would always break with windows updates for anything else)
