I do. And my kettle boils water faster than the electric stove.

So when I boil larger quantities of water I prefer to boil ~2/3 in the kettle and 1/3 on the stove with a lid on for max speed; my time rarely feels more wasted than when I'm waiting for water to boil.

I also use the kettle for hot drinks, of course. I've kept one since I lived in the UK.

On my second try I enjoyed it...until the final season.

The show probably got different writers at that point. Whatever happened, everything previously built was just scrapped. It's like they made a list of random outlandish ideas, then shuffled and tried to connect them.

If they had brought it all home it would have been a good, offbeat kind of show.

That said, Congress hasn't declared war since 1942, yet we've obviously taken part in many wars since then.

Sadly there just hasn't been enough Congressional support to retaliate against a president for jumping to military action without authorization. And it doesn't help that the average American doesn't know that the president is not allowed to just deploy troops at will (in most cases, Iran included).

Julianne Moore. I just don't buy her acting to the point that it breaks the immersion with everything she's in. So I don't watch anything she does.

I'm not saying the team behind the AI definitely posted the reply on behalf of the AI...but you wouldn't know if they did, now, would you?

Not exactly on topic but among so many other concerns, AI is a way to hide and dodge blame. I absolutely believe humans take the wheel when they feel like it and blame the AI when things go badly.

So there are lots of good answers, but there's one I haven't seen: The type of shower control in the photo is probably low quality, cheap, meaning the internal parts do a poor job of mixing the hot/cold water.

Adjusting the water heater may help, but you might also consider upgrading the shower faucet.

I remember when Young Guns aired on a cable channel in the 90s there's a scene at the climax when Billy the Kid actually says "Murphy, you son of a bitch..." and shoots the baddie in the head.

So this cable channel edited it for him to say "Murphy, you sorry old buzzard...". But the headshot was still intact because this is America.

If you ask nicely, sure

The whole thing will have to be extremely well done to pull off that connection. Tony Stark's death was a perfect ending for the character and exit for RDJ...the thought occurs don't fuck with it. Very high stakes imo.

That said I still hope they found a way.

That's true, but there's not always an easy way out and criticism for bad choices probably isn't going anywhere.

Consequences aside, people are so susceptible to perceived benefits that they'll set aside their morals and values. Obviously this is not every person out there, but I think most of us have anecdotal examples in our lives and in ourselves.

I first noticed the compromise within myself years ago. It's easy to give a firm NO to extreme changes, but if the changes come a little at a time acceptance can set in. I've striven to recognize this tendency at the outset of a choice and stay firm, but it's still an everyday battle...same as with anyone else. I'm not sure most people recognize that there is a battle of choices to manage.

So it's Sunday morning and I'm starting to ramble, but I appreciate your reply and I hope we can collectively find exit ramps for troubled folks out there.
