  • I'm on my way to linux, my main is still win10 for now but my pi4b 8gb is my linux plaything while I learn. That being said..

Anyone see SteamOS for PC happening? Is it still "limited" to AMD cpu/GPU? Sooner or later? Is it already possible? Somewhat out of the loop, sorry if this has been asked time and time again.

  • It's not pay to win. You're right. Spending big bucks on a big ship will still get oneself killed by a small ship earned in-game. People who call SC pay-to-win listened a bit to much to Derek Smart while sipping their Monster, snacking on Doritos, wonding how many days they have to wait for the next Call of Battlefield. Those people genuinely do not understand what kind of game it is, why money can be spent, and that not a single penny beyond a starter package even needs to be spent. Nearly everything bought with real money can also be bought in-game. The monies goes to support the project, its clear when you buy anything, and you get like a month to return no questions asked if you want to. Or return at ANYTIME for instore credits and swap to some other ship without spending anything new. The misrepresentation still blows my.mind to this day.

  • Doesn't really answer your curiosity, but ChrisFix on youtube has a $500 BMW for one of these races. He's done a bunch of contra-deals and donations for the vehicle but is still able to prove he's at the budget mark requirements. His showcase is working on and building the car for these races more than racing in them.

  • Hope I don't get flak for this one, but:

Jurassic Park. Of everything in this book only one thing really stuck with me. The park was overrun with dinos because the computer counted the ones it meeded to, then just stopped counting. It found its target of, say, 2 raptors. I didnt need to keep count of the others because it located its expected two. Good enough.

I'm on mobile so its a little hard to write out my thoughts and find accurate quotes and notes, but I think you'll get what I'm saying.

That's the earliest idea of a confirmational bias I can remeber when I was much younger, and I think helped me with critical thinking moving on.

  • Was reading about sodium and some sodium addon just yesterday while playing with the idea of a server ran on a spare pi4b... Wonder if it would help with a 2-6 player server. I dont expect much of the pi4b (currently running piOS but I'll dabble with any linux/gnu). I may just give sodium a go after all.

  • I've noticed quite the influx of highbeams in recent years. I simply can't understand why though. Stupids wanting to see better, by making other's vision worse? Western Canada here, and I thought it was just me taking notice. Fuckn why??
