  • You know what WOULD solve all the Tesla problems? Kicking space Karen to the curb.

  • They are forcing you to create/link a PSN account to continue playing.

  • lol same, or maybe "hold my beer."

  • You aren't, but it's likely some people have 2 or even 3 cell network connected devices (phone, tablet, watch, car, etc). As that articles notes it's SIM cards not people. Not that $1.50 is any better...

Also, that $3.50 was a South Park joke.

  • sudo apt remove

  • What's really amazing to me is they could have EASILY pivoted and become a mega online retailer like today's Amazon. They literally had all the pieces already in place with their catalog/mail order/warehouses.

  • Have to agree here, I do enjoy my job and it has a real impact on thousands or even millions of people. Doesn't hurt that I get paid well and my boss and team are amazing.

But yeah, I do have the occasional "overtime" (I'm salaried) but it's always compensated by extra time off.

  • Satire is dead, reality has long ago surpassed it.

  • At least the Ryobi is super-lightweight! I can easily carry it out of my garage and even with the battery it's far lighter to push around than a gas mower. I'm hard on blades though with so many sticks and pine cones, no matter how many I pick up I always miss some.

  • Oh my allergies are horrible too, I just make sure to take a Sudafed (can't recall the generic name) before I start. I love that stuff, we always keep a stash around especially as you have to get it from the pharmacy and they don't keep very much stock it seems.

  • Nah, my yard is tiny and I don't mind mowing it. I have a Ryobi battery mower so it's super-easy to do. If I ever move somewhere with a bigger yard though I would seriously consider it. Especially as I already have Home Assistant running!

  • Works is a pretty loose term. She exists there and leaches off our tax dollars. I'm not sure I would call her constant stream of putrid speech "working."

  • Damn, $45k. Though I guess for something like a park it probably has a pretty quick ROI.

  • Agreed, custodians (usually) wouldn't refer to themselves that way. Without them though, trash doesn't make it to the point of disposal. Which is a break in the chain. We could debate the finer points I'm sure, but it's about bed time for me and I have an early AM meeting with offshore.

So have a good one, and I do appreciate the discussion!

  • Depends on where you draw the line. Janitors for instance are usually paid a pittance. As are cleaning crews that vacuum the vast offices spaces around the country.

If you are talking about CDL drivers that collect trash cans then yeah, they tend to be paid well. Without all the pieces of the puzzle though the system breaks down.

Plumbers, as it turns out, are paid quite well since nobody wants to go into the trades currently.
