To expand a hair on this, modern waste disposal. So with plumbing comes sewage. Then the close child is refuse removal. We literally cannot live (healthily) without these things.
Side-bar, the folks that power waste removal are VASTLY under-paid.
Typically, very little. I have ~40 containers in my Docker stack and by in large it just works. I upgrade stuff here and there as needed. I am getting ready to do a hardware refresh but again with Docker that's pretty painless.
Most of the time spent in my lab is trying out new things. I'll find a new something that looks cool and go down the rabbit hole with it for a while. Then back to the status quo.
I mean, the economy has been doing great if you look at a purely wall-street perspective. The problem is, that doesn't translate into shit for the average person. Corporate/stock profits != individual financial health.
If I ever got that point I have WAY too much crap and need to get rid of it. As it stands now I have too much crap, lol.
I can see the temporary value though if you are moving to a new place and staying somewhere in-between like a friend/family member and don't have the extra room. But I don't get people leasing them for years just to cram shit into and forget about.
lol too real. Though moving is what really caused a mass-purge from me. The "I don't want to load this shit, move it to another house, then unload it just to have it sit forever in the basement" made me get rid of a LOT of stuff.
There is exactly zero chance he ever sees the inside of a jail cell even if he's not re-elected as president. He's white, rich, and too well connected.
