  • Because WAY too many brainwashed, uneducated, cult members have literally plugged their ears and gone "LALALALALA" if anything that doesn't support their world-view hits their "news" feed. And I use the term "news" lightly as it's a lot of just garbage memes on social media or propoganda "news" networks like NewsMax and OAN are their sources of information.

  • Lying asshole is a liar. Who could have possible predicted this...

  • Could we instead turn it into low-cost apartments for poor people and immigrants?

  • Those two aren't mutually exclusive, they could be (and many are) really stupid criminals.

  • Maybe that's what it is then. I don't see it on the main page and their FAQ didn't list it either.

Regardless, thanks for the link! I'll drop that into my RSS reader.

  • I like hacker news but have had trouble figuring out how to actually like...follow it. There is a shitty Android app. They don't have an RSS feed best I can tell. How does one actually consume it?

  • I have a small TV above my desk where I usually keep the security cameras around the house displayed. It's perfect though for tracking nasty weather or watching things while I work.

  • Wat. If an order isn't getting delivered (your words):

if a driver sees no tip, your order is last in line if it gets delivered at all.

Than that's an even BETTER reason that tipping should 100% be eliminated.

  • This has always annoyed me about food delivery services. Tips are supposed to be reflective of the service delivered. How can I know if that service is going to be good before a driver is even assigned to my order? Prompt after the delivery to add a tip.

Secondary note, if a company cannot pay their employees a living wage without tips than said company shouldn't exist. Nobody should have to rely on tips to...you know...exist.

  • I went a step farther, during the great TP shortage of 2020 I finally installed bidets in the house. I still use TP to dry but that could easily be replaced with some wash cloths or something.

  • I was a huge supporter of Netflix when it launched. Easy to use, affordable, and lots of selection. As the streaming service has splintered and shows disappear without warning I find myself back on the high seas.

    As Gabe once said:

One thing that we have learned is that piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue,

If you make it harder to stream and keep up with what's where then piracy it's no surprise people will ultimately choose the latter. Though the price thing has gotten crazy too. Multiple streaming services can now equal or eclipse cable TV prices... And yeah, you can come and go but again that comes back to the service issue. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to evaluate monthly which streaming services I need then drop the ones I don't and add the ones I do.

  • So women don't want men that vote to strip them of their rights and want as much control over them as possible? Color me shocked...

  • Which makes sense really, he profits off the idiots that constantly vote against their own best interests.

  • It had incel vibes.

Uh, probably because the majority ARE incels, lol.

  • I'm surprised it's not higher (or shorter). The amount of total garbage on the play store when I open it up is...incredible.

  • 90 days for trying to overthrown the government and verbally attacking the judge. What a fucking joke of a sentence.
