Maybe I have played too many jrpgs but this one got boring and derivative feeling very quickly for me
I really enjoyed the story. The battle system was fun at first but then didn't really offer much depth or player expression as the game progressed. Maybe that's why you got tired of it?
The really low number of skills and how long they each took to perform on top of how beefy most enemies were also did not help.
